I sure hope there is a final confrontation between this Freedom Force and the new Freedom Fighters. (And I'm pretty certain this is leading up to just that! )

The new Freedom Fighters should be:

Uncle Sam ~ same Unc as before
the new Human Bomb ~ Damage (Grant Emerson)
Doll Man ~ since it appears there will be a new Atom, maybe Ray Palmer can assume this identity
The Ray ~ Ray Terrill, the one and only
Phantom Lady ~ not sure who would fill this role...maybe Lady Quark could be the female of the group
Black Condor ~ are there any winged men still around?

I guess the new Firebrand is destined to be a member though i can't say I like him all that much yet. And there's probably room for one or two more

I think it means that even when DC is trying to streamline their universe to make things more user-friendly, they typically just end up making things far more complicated than they already were

What it means is that Grant Morrison has full drug plan coverage again.

BATTLE FOR BLUDHAVEN 6

I didn't mind when all those mini-series leading up to INFINITE CRISIS ended without really ending, because I knew they were designed to move the reader into IC. But this ending? It really capped off what turned out to be a muddy little mess with a few fun moments. I know some of the characters are going to appear in UNCLE SAM, etc. But the Atomic Knights and COMMAND D? Where will *that* story continue? Or Captain Atom in his new/old/ominous duds?

Well since there's no other thread for it and the story does continue from Bludhaven, let's recycle this one for Uncle Sam & the Freedom Fighters.

I just read the issue and I enjoyed it. It's pretty clear what G&P (and likely Grant Morrison) think about the state of real world politics. I know some people won't enjoy being preached to in a comic.

From the character bits in this and the final issue of Bludhaven, i think Uncle Sam will come and turn the Freedom Fighters against their current masters.

I find it funny that there are so many superheroes connected to senators. We have one in Firestorm and now one in US & FF. Justice League who needs them the DCU should just form a super team called the Capitol Hill Clique.
