I wish he just wouldn't bother. That series started off *SOOOOOOO* good but by the time it had finished I had absolutely zero interest in any of the characters or whatever long, drawn out, pretentious story Ellis was trying to tell.

The final issue is on the far horizon, after 3 years. Since it's been solicited, I hope it's really going to see the light of day - although I thought that #26 was a pretty good finale, for an issue that wasn't really the finale.

The final #27 finally came out a few weeks ago. More of a whimper than a bang.... I spent a few pages trying to remember just who it was they were trying to save. It certainly was a conclusion, tying up a loose end. The most interesting thing was the fiddling around with time and the glimpse of future versions of Snow, Drums and Jakita, suggesting the story could continue... had we but world enough and time.

Lots of very deep talk. sigh
I felt a little like Jakita, I needed something to do and all there was, was rather intimidating talk. And it wasn't talk that really enlightened us that much more about the characters.
It was just okay, a lovely happy ending but rather anticlimatic.

Pretty much.
Not a bad comic at all, but I'd been away from these characters too long for it to have much resonance.

I believe this is really meant to be the final issue.
I wouldn't mind seeing more someday, but as a mini or special.
