So, we all know about the main DC Trinity. Bats, Supes, and Wondy. Of course, Geoff Johns introduced a new type of trinity. Mera, Atom, and Flash.
But tell me, just who would make up YOUR trinity. Who is your Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman?

Simple. Green Lantern, Green Arrow and the Flash (Hal, Ollie and Barry (or Black Canary if you need a woman)). They're not a direct allegory for the other Trinity, but I'd love to read a mini with those three. (NOT written by Robinson)

There is, of course, the Legion trinity of Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy.
Conner, Tim and Bart are the trinity for the next generation, it seems (although Cassie can be subbed in for Impulse, which makes it more of a love triangle than a trinity, I imagine).

Arsenal: My Batman.
Yes, he's not a dark brooding avenger. And he shouldn't be. I only got interested in him after what DC did to him and Lian, but reading old issues about him I see similarities...
*Orphaned at a young age. *No superpowers. *Makes mistakes, sure, but that doesn't stop him. *Screwed up romantic life. *Detective skills. *Can sometimes get on people's nerves. *Needs other people. Lian.
Lightning Lad: My Superman
The first Legionnaire I ever really got interested in, the cartoon and Action Comics rendition. One of the reasons I started writing fanfiction.
*Not from Earth. *Raised on a farm. *Has superpowers unlike other humans. *Died and came back. *Married the girl he loves. *Doesn't give up. *Wonderful around kids.
Rima: My Wonder Woman
Oh God how much I love this girl. I only own one issue of her series and two of First Wave, but she's so... enigmatic, mysterious, beautiful.
*An outsider from a strange place. *Unquestionable determination. *A mystery to most men. *In tune with the Earth and animals. *Kick ass.

In post-1986 continuity, with the shifting of characters' ages, this trinity was around before Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. Remember that JLA pin-up collection from the late 90s? The one that struck me was one with faded images of Hal, Ollie and Barry in the background, looking down on Kyle, Connor and Wally charging out of the picture. It was at that point that it struck me that, in the cliched words, "this wasn't my parents' DC Universe". That was the time when I thought it might just be possible for heroes to stay dead - and it would have been, had DC policies stayed the same. And the idea that those characters might stay dead was really important. Of course, now it is my parents' DCU again.
