In the post-Crisis DCU, Bette Kane was never called Bat-Girl. Instead, she was retconned as a airheaded debutante who became Flamebird. Several years later, Geoff Johns modified the Flamebird character, making her less airheaded and more like the competent heroine that she was pre-Crisis.

Likewise, Charly Parker was modified to being a surfer dude/slacker (I'm not very familiar with pre-Crisis Charly... I only have a couple of Teen Titans issues that featured Titans West, and he didn't appear to be a slacker then. In the Wedding of Donna Troy issue, he definitely appeared clean cut.

Going one step further, Diana killing Max proved Max's fears of Metahumans were right.

And who's to say that Max didn't 'push' her to do it in the first place?

I can't see her dying now. I do wonder what she has to do with it all. She's been portrayed as extremely frustrated recently. Might she do something to "fix" her situation?

Would seem pointless to kill her now, I still think she is Supergirl from some time lost era.
She has got to have some ties to the Legion but maybe the JSA Classified will clear it up.

She's either time-lost or reality-lost in my thinking. With the hints of her connection to the new crisis I'm thinking she might try to rectify some injustices of the first crisis.

I'm not a huge fan of Jim Lee's but that is one damn fine cover.
