In 75 issues I can't think of anything Dr Mid-Nite has done other than go on a date with Black Canary and reveal himself to be Catholic. The only thing he seems to bring to the team is his medical skills and I think Mr Terrific could easily fill that spot in his absence. He's not a bad character - I just think he's the one character whose loss wouldn't shake the title up too much. But who knows, maybe Johns wants to shake it up a bit? If so killing Green Lantern, Mr Terrific or Star-Girl would be the best way of doing it. Though I don't think that's very likely.

Noooo~!!!! NOT PIETER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man. I Dr. Mid-Nite. Seriously. I'd be heartbroken if he died. Almost as much as if Wally or Bart died. That's how much I have. And he has too done interesting stuff. The way he set up Portsmouth and stuff.. it's nifty. I like that he has science and religion and... stuff. He's an interesting dude, just kinda... quiet. But still loveable.

1. Wally West 2. Conner Hawke 3. Batgirl 4. Linda Danvers 5. Golden Eagle
I don't think anything will happen to Kyle because I think he will be reuniting with Donna.

They say every character is someone's fave, and in this case, it's me... Ray is pretty much my favourite comics character, and when his series ended I was distraught! Yes, Cali, he was in YJ, before it was rudely Titanised, and also appeared in a few other crossovers when other heroes needed someone to fire rays at stuff... ;P Plus I think there was a one page cameo in Superman/Batman that seemed to show him with the Freedom Fighters? (That's how desperate I am for Ray appearances... ) So these rumours of Freedom Fighters biting the bullet shock and horrify me! Where did people read this? Is there any chance Ray could be part of the Morrison Freedom Fighters people are mentioning?

He's a surprisingly popular character among the fanboys. Also, because of the JL cartoon, he's finally achieved some small amount of recognition in the world outside of comics.

I think its safe to say Black Condor bites it...at least if Wizard is anything to go by.

No, Damage (Grant) is the son of the original JSA Atom Al Pratt. His powers are weird because Vandal Savage grafted weird genes into him and stuff...

The current Freedom Fighters (Uncle Sam, Black Condor, Ray, Human Bomb, Damage and Phantom Lady) made their first appearance, I think, in a 2 or 3 panel scene in JSA a couple of issues ago. Atom Smasher called them to speak to Damage about something or other (Al Pratt I think).
I'm pretty sure that was their only appearance until the Infinite Crisis preview.

Longtime Lurker, First time poster!
IIRC, the current Freedom Fighters made their first appearance during the Darkness Falls arc of JSA. They did some background fighting, I believe.
As for who I think get's it, I really don't see any of the current Titans or the JSA being killed off....certainly not any of the original characters. Look at what they went through just to bring back the ones they have killed during Zero Hour.
My bets are:
1. Wonder Woman (She has been portrayed as the 'Great Unifier' in a number of series (OMAC, BoP) and her death will the glue that binds the heroes together. Plus, I think Donna will assume her mantle. Remember, the Silver Age Dianna received a major overhaul during the last Crisis.) 2. Jason Todd (Like Barry, he needs to stay dead.) 3. Black Condor (Previously noted.) 4. Luthor (Why not? He started all of this.)
I don't have a fifth yet.
What I hope is that Booster and some of the lesser heroes step up to the plate. Many of them have received the short end of the stick for far too long.

You know... I think you're right about Donna taking over for Diana. It just makes too much sense. The only thing that makes me hesistate is that she's got a movie coming out, but I'm not sure if that really makes a difference.

The thing that clinches it for me is the fact that she killed Max. And we know that a major tragedy is going to hit the DCU with all the portents DiDio and the others have been doling out to us.
I could be wrong tho'. I'm running 50/50 right now, IC suckered me with Jean Loring but I was right (unfortunately) about Beetle.

Doesn't DC's contract with Moulton's estate require them to keep Diana as WW?
"Gee, Brainy, what do you want to do tonight?" "The same thing we do every night, Bouncing Boy: try to take over the United Planets!!" They're B.B. and The Brain ...

The current Diana is so drastically different from the GA age one, they're practically two different characters anyway. But copyright laws always baffle me. as for my list of dead heroes walking: 1) Wonder Woman- despite the copyright stuff, I think she'll be the Original JLAer to go. Donna will take on the mantle 2) Cyborg- I have a feeling one of Wolfman's New Teen Titants will die. 3) Mr Miracle- and one of Kirby's Fourth Worlders too. 4) Rocket Red(Dimitri)- because TPTB at DC will not rest until every last one of the Giffen/DeMatties era Justice Leaguers dies a horrible death. 5) the current Batgirl- because its time for a new one.

Clearly false. Fire seems to be doing okay and I seriously doubt that Guy Gardner is in any danger at all. 5) the current Batgirl- because its time for a new one. The return of Barbara Gordon? Unlikely. If there is a new Batgirl (and I know nothing of Cassandra Cain and therefore can't make any judgments), I'd like to see someone from the extended Batman Family take the role. Maybe Bette Kane (hmmm..."Kane" and "Cain"?) can finally get serious and become Batgirl.

Okay, if it's already been revealed that Black Condor dies, then I think we should declare him off-limits. The point of the game is supposed to be who can make the best predictions, not who gets the most previews. If a death is revealed ahead of time it's really not much of a prediction, is it?

You're picking an entire team to die?!? Sweet! Of course you realize that you'd only get the points if they all die. If one of them survives you're out of luck.

I won't be surprised if WW dies and is replaced. They can always bring Diana back in an All-Star comic.

The Freedom Fighters appeared in the JSA "Our World at War" special (functioning as that year's annual). The JSA and all their reserves went into action and Uncle Sam (as "The Patriot") led most of the FFers into one of the battlefronts, including Damage and Iron Monro.
As to the deaths, I'll tell you who I think is safe:
I doubt it's Wally. They already tried pulling that in Zero Hour, but he got better.
Booster Gold. He already lost his best friend, I think this will serve to make him a more credible hero. And while we're on the subject of Ted, it wouldn't surprise me if we haven't seen the last of him, with the whole scarab thing and the wizard Shazam... or maybe Ted will be the next Spectre...
Green Lantern/Kyle. I heard there is a new "Ion" mini coming out, and that's the name he took when he was full of himself (godlike powers).
From one angle, I don't think I'd count Wonder Woman because post-Crisis, she was not an original JLA member. But on the flipside, she just killed Max Lord without hesitation, and Donna's back with a big role to play in the universe. Besides, don't be surprised if they kill off Diana as a WW movie is being thrown together...the Flash series that ran on TV was about Barry Allen, and he'd been dead a few years already when they created it (you'd think somebody would have gotten the memo...).
Green Arrow (Ollie) and Green Lantern (Hal) are safe, as they both got back relatively recently.
Superman and Batman are safe as DC knows where their bread is buttered (I heard there's a new Batman after this Crisis, but not necessarily due to a death in the family...).
Hawkman's also been dead a number of times (check out the most recent Hawkman issue or two), but with his reincarnation handle, it just doesn't stick. Same for Hawkgirl.
Wildcat's got the "9 lives" thing still in his favor...
Hourman (Rex Tyler) just got saved from his Zero Hour demise. So he's still got time on his side too.
Power Girl because they are finally straightening out her origin, mucked up to hell by the last Crisis. Pretty anti-climatic to say "here's who you are", and then give you a permanent dirt nap...
Supergirl just got a new series, don't think she's going anywhere anytime soon.
I also remember in the first Crisis, we lost two "biggies" back to back: Supergirl in #7, and Flash in #8. So who's to say only 1 JLAer will be toast?
For my picks, I'd have to say: 1) Wonder Woman
2) Martian Manhunter
3) Elongated Man - I hate to say it, but without Sue, Ralph doesn't have much to separate him from Plastic Man, and TPTB really seem to want to have Plas in the JLA (Ross even included Plas in the new Justice series instead of Ralph).
4) Shift - No real reason here, its just 'cause I can't stand the fact that he wasn't Metamorpho to begin with. Man, Winick's Outsiders series is major poop!!!
5) Aqualad/Tempest - No reason here either, just a guess.
My gut also tells me Colossal Boy/Micro Lad - 'cause poor Gim just seems to "bite it" in every Legion reality... but he's not in my top 5.
