I forgot about Jade. For a minute there I thought Changeling had a sex change.

Gasp.....two Teen Titans!!! Now I am worried!!! Looking at the bright side, I am glad to see them again! but still.... *gasp*

admittedly, it is nice to see at least four Black heroes being featured on the cover so prominently - Cyborg, Bumblebee, Herald and Firestorm. I find it very interesting that there are some heroes who have some interconnection to others - Donna Troy - Jade - Kyle Rayner....so many Titans there - Supergirl, Donna, Starfire, Kyle, Cyborg, Herald, Bumblebee, etc.

In COIE, we have a few Titans who were perished - Dove, Kole, Aquagirl. Think that maybe Bumblebee and Herald may bite the dust.

This looks like Donna Troy's handpicked team to go into space, so it's no wonder why most of them are there.

For an instant, I thought maybe Duela Dent was featured on the cover-- THAT would have kicked some big-time ass.

A while back, a friend of mine here asked me what I thought of Duela's appearance in the "future Titans" arc. I stated that I didn't mind that she was apparantly killed, and a villainess. Her appearance there helped re-instate her into (some sort of) continuity.

While Mal & Karen weren't completely retconned out like Duela by COIE, this cover appearance certainly helps to re-establish them in the eyes and minds of fans.

Here's hoping they come out of this shining. Shining at least bright enough to spark the curiosity of a few new DC fans.

Put me in the worried about Herald and Bumblebee category. Going by DC's recent past, those two might as well have bullseyes on their chests/foreheads/ears.

Kilowog and Red Tornado made it on the cover, too. And Animal Man! Now I'm really excited.

My favourite character EVER - Mal Duncan/Herald - is appearing on the cover of what will probably be the number 1 selling comic in January! Thousands and thousands of people are about to be exposed to the greatness that is Mal (and Karen)!

I can't believe it. I've waited years and years and years for him to come back and now he finally does it - in a comic that has been announced as having a huge death count! AAAAAARRGGHHHHH! I may as well start wearing my black arm-band now! Looking at the other characters on that page - do any of them say cannon-fodder as much as Herald and Bumblebee?

Hope, hope, hope they make it out OK!

If DC are idiots enough to kill off such an historic character as Karen, I'll.. I'll... wig. Totally. And Mal's beaten the Angel of death before, he'll be okay!

I'll give them this - there's a real thrill involved in wondering who is going to get out of this OK.

They'll still end up killing off too many characters for my taste (I wonder if they know that Marv Wolfman later felt he went too far in that area), but it's exciting all the same.

I think you are right. And he's among my favorites. I have all of his appearances.

Sigh I'm hoping DC decides that Red Tornado's been killed enough times that they don't ned to kill him AGAIN. Though Reddy's one of the safer ones. Mal, Karen and Air Wave are the ones we have to worry 'bout most. Animal Man's probably fairly safe too - they plugged him as a guest star in the solit for issue 3, IIRC. (or was it 4?)

I have a feeling that Karen is safe. I think they are going to kill Mal off and then move Karen to the front and center over in Titans. But that's just a feeling, I have no evidence to suppoert this.

From that cover, Jade doesn't look too safe either...

Hey..just a thought. Is the big ball of light Martin Stein? Remember the professor who made up part of Firestorm. I remember he left for space... I could be really far off base.

I feel like Matt is right here, although I wish Mal would be OK. Legion World has made me a life-long fan of Hornblower.
