Given that I don't think they ever recovered her body, you wouldn't even need Zero Hour as an excuse.

Well, Julie DID say that "Crises was the biggest mistake."
There are still holes in the DC universe left by Crisis. And Zero Hour only served to confuse the confusing chaos. Not only that, but DC has repeatedly stated that there would be "NO MORE MULTIPLE EARTHS." So we got Hypertime, instead. Yeah. BIG improvement.
I dread any other attempt to "fix" the DC universe. The prior attempts have only served to make things worse. The one big chance they had was during Zero Hour when Parallax threatened to restore the multiple earths. "Who knows? Maybe on earth isn't big enough."
I think this is merely hype for another DC mediocre crossover attempt.
But that's just my two cents worth.

Hey, I liked Supergirl and Flash too, but we also lost:
Mirror Master I Clayface II
WTF? What were they thinking killing off all the cool-ass villians? Why not erase Catman, Rainbow Rider and Signal Man? Hell, I'd even give up Felix Faust, Weather Wizard and the Riddler, and I think they're all pretty cool too--but they're no Clayface and Mirror Master!
Anything that kills Mirror Master I and Clayface II probably *is* DC's biggest mistake. If the new crisis kills Mirror Master II and Clayface VI, I'm gonna be piiiiIIIIiiiissed...

By the way - Cru - Katar Hol still existed in the post Zero Hour DCU but not in a very meaningful way. I think the rule of thumb is that anything before the Hawkworld miniseries that started the whole Hawk mess was Carter. Katar wasn't a member of the League until much later and not for very long. He was absorbed up into the Hawk avatar thing with Carter and I think now that Carter's back he somewhat retains Katar's memories. The whole thing is just so so lame.

Yes, it's lame. That's why I urge the return of hte multiverse. If you want to have a world where Carter was the Hawkman in JLA, fine.
But I really am ont interested in issues upon issues trying to convince me that the stories I read as a kid are no longer valid, or that Black Canary, and not WOnder Woman was a founding member of the JLA.

And conversely, I have no desire to see the post-Crisis stories I love suffer because the multiverse is brought back.
No Blue Beetle or Capt. Atom is JLA because... they live on Earch-Charlton!
No Captain Marvel or Black Adam in JSA because... they live on Earth-Shazam!
I could go on and on, but I'll spare myself the nausea.
A return to the multiverse might delight a handful of fanboys, but it would absolutely destroy the hard work DC has done to heal its past mistakes (CRISIS).

In the multiverse I guess there'd be a Earth-Post-Crisis where all the lines (DC, Shazam, Charlton) naturally occured together. I guess I'd rather the post Zero-Hour DCU remain the default though, even if they do bring back the multiverse. I'd be interested to see some old-school Earth-2 tales though.

There would be an Earth-0 where all of the recent stories LASH likes would still be valid. And, to be clear, I am not even particular which earth is the DCU default. But don't you think it would unbunch the panties of all those fanboys jumping on Byrne if DC could just say that the new Doom Patrol series, a GREAT read BTW, is simply set on some other Earth?

I agree Lash, I definately don't want the return of Earth-Charleton or Earth-Big Red Cheese. I think a lot of the problems of Crisis have been close to fixed, although Earth 2 is probably the one that I (and most others) desire the most. But I’m more than content with the current JSA series. Like the Legion, the DCU cannot be reverted to anything. It’s either what we have now or something different…and I don’t know if something totally different would be a good thing. Some subtle changes, maybe even a few big ones, but not another sweeping change.
And jumpin’ catfish fellas, no more comments on Mirror Master and Clayface? Sure, act like you weren’t outraged!

Mirror Master and Clayface died? You sold me Cobie... I am officially outraged. I'm just glad that they didn't kill off The Rainbow Rider too.

Mirror Master was all right, but I was more than happy with Grant Morrison's replacement. Call it a draw.

Byrne's DP is an alright read, and I enjoyed how Rita was so competent in issue 6, but NO WAY would I say it's important or good enough to warrant the return of the Multiverse.
I know it sounds odd, me being a huge fan of the Silver Age, the multiverse and whatnot. I really don't give a rat's ass that continuity is being played fast & loose with in DP, the upcoming Legion relaunch and the current LSV arc in Supes/Bats. But I just can't support a return to the Multiple Earths, no matter how much I loathed Crisis.

[/b]I thought the same thing, Drake, after finishing that issue. I wonder if this latest Superman/Batman arc is going to tie into the new Crisis.

It's the black around the "S" that suggests KC Supes to me as well.

Not just the black - the shape too.
Plus that Pacheco seemed to be trying to channel Alex Ross in that headshot...

Crisis 2: Turns out the original Crisis was a nightmare that never happened...All the heroes come out of the shower and everything is the same as before. Multiple Earths, Multiple Heroes and Barry Allen returns.
Can we just leave the sequels out of comics.
Looking for Earth Prime.

Multiple shower scenes, with Supergirl, Phantom Girl, Zatana and others? Genius idea, Stargazer!
