Well if'n my comics shop hadn't cocked up it would have been Phonogram #2 but since they did it's Fables #53. Because that's the only thing I bought. I haven't actually read it yet but I'm sure it'll be good and even if it isn't it has no competition.

9/20-- While I'm tempted to go with 52 once again, for the introduction of a certain Legion-related character, I'm actually going to give it to SHADOWPACT #5.

It was a light week for me and although 52 was solid this week, I enjoyed Ion #6 a lot more, regardless of the murky art.

9/20 I'm going with Marvel's Civil War... Its good stuff, except that its kinda destroying the Marvel Universe I grew up reading.
9/13 It was 52 week 19.

I'm a little messed up on weeks, but I think I have it right : 9/13 - a tie between Green Lantern #13 and Captain America. The top tier of the comics market right now. 9/20 - a tie between Aquaman #44 and Incredible Hulk #98. I'm shocked at how awesome both these books are. 9/27 - don't have 'em yet.

52 for me this week. I wanted to like JLA #2 but it was just too forced.

Teen Titans for me. Although the evil of Luthor's action was worth the price of admission in 52.

Jonah Hex. Intense, grim, and the best of the bunch.
Just spouting off.

I'm going for Detective this week. I'm totally digging the reformed Bat-villains!

Another week 52, IMO.
However, my vote for this week is Nightwing #125!
For the first time since the early thirties of this title I picked up a single issue and I enjoyed it. In one line of narrative, Marv managed to convey what many of us feel that this character should be.
As for Raptor, reread this issue. Dick's problems weren't necessarily due to Raptor being competent but an outside agency forcing Dick's luck to sour to try to rectify his surviving the last Crisis.
And is this the first time they've shown where he actually keeps his escrima sticks and grapple? I've always wondered where he keeps everything but this is the first time I've ever seen that kind of attention to detail to his costume.

Jamie, he's been shown to store the sticks on his back, and his grapple and stuff has been stored in his gloves & boots. Look at McDaniel's earlier work on the title; the gloves and boots were always bulkier than the skin tight unitard look Dick's had since.
Just spouting off.

CJ,
Thanks. I didn't know if I just didn't remember it, or it just hadn't been addressed before.

10/11 - 52. The Question makes it the best of the best this week.
Just spouting off.

Hansel the Witch Killer. Funny and twisted.

I'm with CJ, the Question's quote really made this issue.
I also picked up the Thing trade and this probably topped my list of favorite reads this week, although it's been out a while. Man, this series was FUN...even moreso than She-Hulk.
Slott really needs to move over to DC and write us some JLI stories....

9/27 - Teen Titans.
10/4 - Tie - I'm going to say Action Comics. It was just a great Superman super-hero story, and its refreshing to have Kurt Busiek give us that after so many years of crap Superman stories. The other one is Hulk #99, which was kick-ass. Planet Hulk rocks!
10/11 - haven't read them yet...

Tough call between Fables and Fallen Angel, but since Fables is mostly set-up (even if Hansel's tale is a full story in itself) pick of the week goes to Fallen Angel which was excellent as always.
