I don't do weekly, but I just got my shipment for the second half of June. Hands down, Manhunter #23, followed by Young Avengers #12 and Catwoman #56.

This week: the Alter Ego Collection vol. 1...

cool articles about stuff like the creation of the Silver Age Atom (including letters from Gardner Fox and Julie Schwartz!), interview with Golden Age artist Irwin Hasen, and the creation of Infinity Inc. as remembered by Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway! Great stuff.

Last week: Daredevil (err... Daredevil was last week, wasn't it...?) Easily my favorite Marvel book, currently... and one of the best current books in general.

52 is tops for me right now. Not just weekly but overall. I'm totally sucked in by the mysteries (as most of you know).

TT #37 was good too.

I would have to say Detective Comics #821.

Dini knows his Batman. And his comic book version of bats is alot darker then I expected. His Batman is a ture dectective though and I liked the one issue story.

And what can you say about the artwork. Spectular. Awesome. Mind blowing.

my pick of the week with Titans and 52 behind that.

This week was a tough pick, but I'm going to give it to Superman #654. It's a sweet story, and it really has the feel of what a Superman story should be.

52 and GL were very close on its heels, however.

I'm two weeks behind, maybe three... urk I get my midmonth books next Monday, though, so I can sit down with whatever batch of 52 I end up with and read them all at once! Woohoo!

Book of the week for 7/5= UNCANNY X-MEN 475 (with TEEN TITANS 37 a *very* close second).

However, my CBS ran out of BEYOND #1 and the last issue of ARES, so I still haven't read either of them.

Book of the week for 7/12= ESCAPISTS #1. Second place would be either CIVIL WAR FRONTLINE 3 or THUNDERBOLTS 104.

7/12 I'll say Superman 654. Nice set up for a multipart story, yet it told a complete little day in the life as well.

For me it was GL so far. Haven't gotten to read Superman yet but I will say that the art and colors look awesome.

7/19-- I'm going to go with SLOSH #20, this week, primarily for the groovy origin of Big City.

7/19 for me....

Jack Kirby's Galactic Bounty Hunters!

This book is a blast from the Silver Age past. Created by his daughter, using Jack's never published characters and artwork, fleshed out by the likes of Karl Kesel and others. Looks like it may be a mini series which is awesome. It had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it. Reminded me of just how much fun comic books were back then, even if they were cheesy! laugh

7/26-- I think I'm going to go with Batman #655. Not quite as groovy as Morrison's take on Superman in A-SS, but still pretty cool. I mean... who could fail to love a comic with ninja man-bats?

Only four books for me this week. And two of them are at their lowest points.

7/26- 52 has it in a single bound!

8/9- Just because I'd be saying 52 again for the third straight week as well. I'll say Martian Manhunter. The fact I liked it was shocking because I didn't expect to.

8/9 - Supergirl

This pulls the entire story together and ties back into that great Superman/Batman arc that showcased the LSV. Saturn Queen is prominently featured throughout the issue and there is even a mention of the Legion!

Was there another Supergirl release this week or was this last week's issue #8?
