What powers do you think the groovy new characters that Jim will be introducing to the team will have?
My prediction: we get a teleporter.

I was gonna say the same thing!
Teleporters are always my favorites, so this would be truly excellent for me.
I certainly wouldn't mind a re-intro of past LSH teleporters Veilmist or Gates.

I'm hoping for a new Dynamo Boy (or Girl): Maybe someone who can absorb and transfer energies, hypercharging other members and accentuating their powers?
Power Boy would be cool to see as well, and maybe save Reflecto or introduce Echo (as Tyroc!).

I'm hoping for a 31st century Green Lantern (preferably Rhond Vidar) --or Celeste Rockfish, at least.
If the meek shall inherit inherit the Earth, then I at least want Baffin Island - and a property manager to work for me who is made of sterner stuff than I.

I always thought a hero whose only power was to negate someone else's power would be a cool idea.

Shooter gets credit (deservedly) for the Legionnaires he introduced in Adventure. I can't remember who wrote it (but sadly it wasn't me), Shooter wanted to get away from the "strike a pose and point" style of many of the original Adventure team. Karate Kid's abilities were the result of physical and mental discipline, and not supranormal per se. Ferro Lad's powers were physical and his "deformity" set him apart visually. Nemesis Kid was an intriguing and dynamic concept. While Princess Projectra "pointed" her powers, she had an exotic quality earlier characters had lacked. Same with Shadow Lass. Shooter also brought Brin Londo into the Legion as Timber Wolf.
So the question is, what does THIS Legion lack? I'm going for Diplomacy Kid.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

Is there already speculation that he's going to add new characters? The team is already overflowing with interesting characters and personalities, I'm afraid that new faces would detract from the 'core' characters, and turn into a reboot situation, where the team is filled up with people like XS, Gear, Shikari, Gates, Monstress, etc. and we don't get to see as much of the 'old school' team-members like Shadow Lass and Ultra Boy...
That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of new faces, but not at the expense of losing sight of the regulars.
Several power-sets can be limiting, from a storytelling standpoint, and healing and teleportation are both among them (with telepathy being yet another, making Raven, of the Teen Titans, a triple-threat!). The drama garnered from putting characters at risk of injury is diminished by the presence of a reliable on-team healer, and the sorts of contortions that have to occur to have the healer *not* be reliable sometimes make the healer character look pathetic. Ditto, teleportation, along the line of Nightcrawler, is rarely a story-threat, but someone able to teleport the whole team around, a la Lila Cheney, takes away any sort of 'man vs. nature' challenges, as the team teleporter can just whisk them all to safety, or any 'sojourn' stories, as the teleporter just jumps them past any sort of story obstacles that the villains may have set up. Telepathy obviously precludes any sort of mystery involving sentients, while the ability to see the past (postcognition) can be even more troublesome for a mystery situation (imagine if Cham could have just touched the wall in the recent mystery with Jeyra Entin and 'seen' what had happened in that room!).
And yet tons of powers haven't been represented on the team (or aren't represented on the *current* team, such as speedsters or teleporters or a sonic-based character or a weather controller or a telekinetic or aquatic character).
For that matter, I'd rather see new characters, if used at all, draw upon DC continuity. Atlanteans, Amazons, Tamaranians (and other Vegan system aliens), elementals (a la Swamp Thing, Firestorm, Red Tornado, Animal Man), Krypto-spawn (Laurel Kent!), New Genesis 'gods', etc. (A character from New Genesis would be particularly cool, IMO.) The DC universe is *rich* with potential legacies that could have carried on into the 30th century. Are their any martians left? Where is the Helmet of Nabu? Will the connection between the Coluans and the Superman villain Brainiac ever be fully fleshed out? How much of a presence does the Green Lanterns corp have?
And for all that, as the Great Darkness Saga reminded us with a twisted glimpse of a former Champion of Talokk VIII, some of the Legionnaires come from worlds that *also* have rich traditions of heroism (Xanthu, in particular, seems to have had many heroes, if not, most likely, as many or historied as on Earth!).
Then again, if any 'new Shooter Legionnaires' are as inspired as rejected submissions like Nightcrawler, I'll probably end up loving them anyway...

Hmm... I'd like
Dawnstar XS Celeste an Atlantean KQII
Hmm... I'm noticing a pattern here...
Exnihil: Novelty, if he had a power, the obvious one to me would of course be "The Power of Grayskull"

He mentioned a significant new continuing character, lots of incidental characters and new enemies and nost intriguingly, a "new" character who he couldn't give away or DC would call an air strike on his house. I'd like Wildfire back -- mainly for his personality. Ditto Matter-Eater Lad, if Shooter is inclined to treat his powers semi-seriously and not make him the class clown. Dream Girl can remain disembodied or not, as long as she continues to appear regularly. Other than that, I have no other specific requests. I'll trust JS to do the rest.

How about... "Immortal Cheerleader Lass"... Ähm... well I guess that's another show I'm talking about Teleporters usually have a large problem: it's difficult to "downwrite" their skills (like with the speedsters) so that they don't get too mighty... or that nobody says after a story "hey, why didn't they just teleport in". They way Hiro Nakamuras "I can bend time and space" was portrayed in Heroes was the most interesting Teleportation I've ever seen - because he just did not control it right...

There was a guy once in the Legion called Jacques Foccart that could teleport...and never do it right either. And that was a good thing.

I'm all for teleporters; by far the coolest of cool powers.
If he wanted to create a character that could kill spiders with the blink of an eye, I wouldn't complain.
Just spouting off.

My hopes for the storylines would be almost exactly the opposite of this. So, that gives Shooter plenty of in-between to make us happy.

I always liked the powers of Deadman and Jericho and thought it might have been cool if Lyle Norg came back with those type of powers. That and maybe have Rond Vidar with simular powers to Hiro from NBC's Heroes
