Yes.
I'm really starting to question the decisions made in this 'Brave New World".

check here for a thread where Geoff Johns reveals that he does indeed have plans for the JSA and we have no need to worry--there are still big plans for them keeping them front and center in the DCU. <wipes forehead> That's a relief!

But it's all baffling. Since it is a popular book, wouldn't you want to make clear, along with news of the cancellation, that something new is coming? Why piss off so many loyal readers? It just doesn't make sense.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

I think they should pay tribute to the team's rich history and relaunch it as "The All-Star Justice Battalion Squadron Society of America!" The ASJBSSA! That just flows off the tongue!

Hmmmm... I'm just envisioning Jay Garrick running on those daddy long legs... I'm sooooo there!

I know I'm nervous about the Stargirl/Wildcat interaction with those two as the creative team...

I started to laugh outloud at a Stargirl/Wildcat "interaction," but then the creepiness of the idea settled in, and now I can't sleep.
Why are you laughing at me? It's unkind, as well as puzzling!

As long as the new JSA doesn't turn out to be a new version of Infinity Inc. then I'll be happy.
And, I thought I saw where Rucka said that Alan Scott and Mr. Terrific would be splitting their time between Checkmate and the JSA.

Has anyone seen the latest "Outsiders"? There's a new villain there who has ties to the JSA: Click Here For A SpoilerThe new villain turns out to be a *young* Jay Garrick?!?!?

Drake, I might start reading that in lieu of this title. Levitz' writing is plodding along, and I'm all for dropping this title the revamp.
Just spouting off.

So now was the original Diana in the JSA again, in place of Hippolyta, who was in place of Miss America, who was in place of Diana? Hand me a headache pill and a glass of water, please.

Actually, I don't think we know yet how WW fits or doesn't fit into the 'newEarth' JSA.
Boy, Geoff must've *really* not wanted to address the WW/Miss America/JSA thing. I think that might've been what got the whole crisis follow-up started!

In DiDio's most recent column ("DC Nation" or whatever it's called), he confirms that Geoff Johns is working on a relaunch of Justice Society of America.

I hear that the new Justice Society is going to have Wolverine as a member...

I read # 85.
Gee, we're seeing more of Jade now than when she was alive. Was her death *really* necessary? *sigh*
There's some nice artwork this issue, but the story *is* kinda draggin' for me. Not disliking it though.
I think, like all of us, I'm more curious about the all-new all-now history of both the JSA and JLA. Let's get to THAT stuff, STAT!

Over at Newsarama there is a story about the new Justice Society of America title, which includes the creative team and a few tidbits about the book. Click Here For A SpoilerCurrently, the only members Ross and DCU Exective Editor would confirm for Newsarama are Power Girl, Hourman (Rick Tyler), Damage (son of the Golden Age Atom, and sporting a new costume designed by Ross), and the new Starman. That answers a couple of questions about the status of a couple of heroes in the new DCU...

Yeah, I LOVE the choices for the team but they should really call it Infinity, Inc. I also really want to know where the GA heroes are. Cuz it ain't the JSA without them.
And I'm not sure what Ross' "kibitzing" will amount to. I typically don't agree with his interpretations. Kinda like Meltzer and the JLA.

Thanks for the link, Cru. (I'm soooo sick of reading Didio's comments that I could barf... Whew! I feel better now. Nothing to see here. Move along. )

Egg-zactly.....how does an ongoing series come to it's natural conclusion? You know, I'd be a lot more inclined to believe him if he wasn't rebooting/cancelling a number of titles AT THE SAME TIME.

I think most on-goings have passed their natural conclusions. How often is a story (re: the current JSA arc) about a villain trying to get revenge on a team? The Prince of Darkness was the last storyline that had a save the world quality to it. We had Degaton trying to break up the team, we have the Gentleman Ghost trying to scare them. It does seem pointless.
As for the GA heroes, we've had this discussion earlier in this topic...
Just spouting off.

But how many of you would pick up the new book if Starman is Danny Blaine?

I would pick up no matter what. JSA or Infinity Inc or even Danny Blaine.

i'm already a JSA fan, but if the new Starman is really Danny Blaine, then that's even better! it's nice to see storylines from Robinson's Starman series finally coming true.
