Here is a Q&A from Mattel about its plans for the DU Multiverse now that they have the license for everything. Other stuff is covered as well. I would also point out that there is a survey for what figures people would like to see made . Mattel has a rep watching and will be answering some of the questions asked in this thread as well. The more 'comic book geeks' rather than 'action figure freaks' that participate may sway Mattel and DC to explore more of the DCM with their DCSH line.

Pics coming in from San Diego (I guess): Wizard Universe Fantastic Four action figures That Johnny Storm says 'Sun Boy' to me-- if the '4' is painted on, rather than sculpted, I'm going to buy two and slop some red on that boy. It's a good lookin' Thing, too (ha!) Invisible Girl- still doesn't look like Sue Storm Richards, to me. This might be good Crystal fodder, though. Hmmmm. Wizard Universe Marvel Legends Series 4 Black Bolt! Black Bolt! Hoorah! He looks good, too. Nova-- a little slender, but good head sculpt. I like the FA Daredevil, but the neck's sort of funny. Even Astonishing Beast looks good- and I'm not fond of this form for Hank McCoy. And TIGRA! Imprrrressive! I wasn't sure about her-- though she doesn't look furry, just orange-skinned. Marvel Legends are kicking DC's butt in character selection, aren't they?

Gotta have that Black Bolt. Not a big Marvel collector outside the Classic lead figures but I'll got a huntin' for BB.
And I agree on that Johnny sculp. Would make a great Dirk.

Except for the Bradstreet Punisher and BAF choice, HML Series 4 is awesome-- I'm even excited for the AXM Cat Beast; With the upcoming Astonishing Cyclops and the AXM Kitty, Wolverine and Diamond Emma I already have, that just leaves an updated Colossus needed to complete the Astonishing team! Nitpick-- why's it take 8 figures for the FF Wave to build Ronan, but <strike>Holocaust</strike> err, Nemesis  only requires 6?

DC comes through: Action Figure Insider-- DC Direct near top, Marvel Wal-Mart Face-Offs further down Jericho! Sanding off those sideburns could yield a good Element Lad head-sculpt. And an adult Dick! (Ahem) Lookin' good. CANNONBALL! All that's left for Marvel guys that I *really* want are Northstar and maybe Sunspot. Hmm. Jamie Madrox and Rictor, I guess.

I wasn't interested in Marvel's Legendary Heroes, ML-style indie AF's... until I actually -saw- them: Series 1 The Pitt BAF looks MASSIVE. Series 2 I'm less interested in this wave, though tha Monkeyman (BAF) & O'Brien would nice to have as a set. The best news is I have -zero- interest in any of the variants(2 per wave). The BAF's are 7 pieces, so we get some neat bonuses... Madman is packed with Timmy from the Pitt (Though, technically part of the overall Pitt BAF), and The Darkness comes with two Dark Minions instead of a Monkeyman piece. (credit to AFI for the pics and info!)

If you happen to see one there, I would like to have one, LL.
Don't go out of your way, though. I'm probably being a bit impatient-- the way these things usually work, you give up on them and start looking for something else and then the former quarry appears en masse. Finally got back to the store tonight. They only had the series with the Green Lantern 3-pack. No Obsidian or Sand in sight. But I'll keep an eye open.

Better depth perception. ) [/b]You are not far from wrong with my eye sight. Hey has anyone seen Marvel Legends 1 (Hasbro) "Planet Hulk" Incredible Hulk and Ultimate Iron Man? I found the other four last night. Didn't get them because of the missing two. But that's the closest I've seen to a full set for the "build-a-figures" in this area.

Oh, and if anyone is interested those Superhero Squad figures were all over the place, including the oversize Sentinel with Wolverine and Galactus with Human Torch.
Too kiddie looking for me but if anyone sees the two-pack with Gambit would you grab it for me? I think Caroline would love it.

HML Series 1 has been and gone here, Scott. The only figures I'm getting from Series 2 are She-Hulk and Quicksilver(x2-- I wanna try and customize a Daimon Hellstrom ), but Walmart.com has all 8 figures listed online, with fluxuating availability for Thor and She-Hulk. The Superhero Squad seem to be in good supply at my Wal, I'll check for you next time I'm there.

[/b]Well I did spend about $150 less than last month. Only because I didn't get Caroline that new Willow statue though.

I figured he was just laughing at Logan's hair. PS, I still need to stop by the Wal and check for that SHS Gambit 2-pack, I haven't forgotten. I've just been on the sidelines from my steroids last week. I think I'm getting too much; while it's probably not actually hurting me, it inflames me to the point I don't even feel like getting out of bed. Wah, wah, boohoo, I'll get over it. The doc's cutting back the dosage for next month, and we're trying doubling my Neurontin(pain med).
