Yeah- Legends figs seem much more readily available than they used to be... if you're patient.
Too bad the upcoming waves don't do a heck of a lot for me.

I'm hunting for JLU figs now (WHY!?!). Target has 'exclusive' figures in three packs - Black Canary, Bizarro, and Orion amongst them. The Canarys I've seen don't look nearly as good as on the cartoon - kinda like Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler's Mom from American Pie). I'm on the hunt for Booster Gold, Red Tornado, and Atom Smasher single figures (not in the three packs). I'm thinking about trying to make custom JLU figures. Maybe a Blue Beetle or Captain Atom? Legion characters maybe?

Just picked up an Atom-Smasher figure at Target... though I think I'll rename him since for some reason he's wearing purple instead of black or dark blue *and* his 'atom' insignia looks more like a flower, I think I'll rechristen this fig 'Promen Shrinking Violet'. The costume even has a reboot era Legion stripe!

I've been debating which JLUers to get. I can't wait till the Legion episode so we can get a Legion three pack. I heard they might start making two packs instead though...

Originally posted by Outdoor Miner: Interesting news about DC stuff here I couldn't get the link to work earlier so here is the pertinent action figure stuff: In DC Direct news, an upcoming Silver Age Superman set will include Superman (with robot machineworks behind the s-shield), Lois, Jimmy, Perry, Lex, and Beppo the Super-Monkey. There will be a recall on the Crisis on Infinite Earths action figures from DC Direct, due to line-wide problems with paints, assembly, and looks. Consumers will be able to return figures they bought as well. The production problems with the CoIE line was pointed to as the cause of the shipping date changes for other DC Direct lines. Upcoming Infinite Crisis figures will include Power Girl, Alex Luthor, OMAC, and Superboy Prime with his new costume design. There will also be a line of figures based on Darwyn Cooke’s versions of the characters from DC: New Frontier. The next Elseworlds series will include a Spectre/Norm McCay two figure set at a single-figure price, in a box designed to match the look of the original Kingdom Come boxes. The subline will also include more Red Son figures and Gotham by Gaslight figures. The coming JSA line will include four modern JSA member figures, and one classic--the Atom--which will feature two complete figures in one box, one with the hood costume and one with the cowl revealing the lower face.

That all looks great. Major points to DCD for addressing the COIE quality issues. Excellent news regarding the 2-in-1 figures... Nobody wants an individual Norman McKay, except maybe Alex Ross , and the two JSA Atoms is a nice reward for fans of that line who've gotten the shaft since DCD got the rights to produce Batstuff. I'm excited about the IC Powergirl. The OMAC could be nice as well. Anybody know anything about Superboy Prime's new design? I wonder if they're gonna give that Beppo a tail...

Anybody know anything about Superboy Prime's new design? 'Two Atoms' is a good surprise-- but I wish they'd announced which other JSAers were going to be included. (Sand! I hope...) The 'new design' for Superboy Prime does get the speculative juices flowing... if the reboot Legion were still in print, I'd guess that it'd be a Legionnaire stripe.

I was wondering if it'd be based on Alex Ross's design from Kingdom Come, myself...

Seconded on the COIE Wave 1 redo. I held off on those figures because I just couldn't find a decent one and I'm glad I did.
The two GA Atoms was a real surprise. I'm sure just about everyone figured they would pick one design.

ML12: Apocalypse Series -X-23 -Sasquatch These are also getting variants... There'll be a white Sasquatch, and the X-23's will have blue and purple costumes. Seems like overkill-- 5 variants in this wave?!?!-- and on the X-23 figure in particular... Luckily, I don't really want that Apocalypse BAF. But dangitall, I want both those Sasquatches and Fists...

Merry Christmas TOOOOOOO meeee....I got my shipment notification from DCBS earlier this week. Upon closer inspection of my tracking information, I saw the weight on the package was 16 pounds. So I logged into my account to see what exactly was shipping... and -both- my Thanos statue and my Thrillkiller Batgirl action figure are on their way. I hadn't heard they were out! WOOHOO!
