Thanks fellas! I knew you guys could help me out. I assume Solomon Grundy and Amazo will come back, as they always do. I do think, however, that its the end of Zauriel for good, as an emphasis has now firmly been put on the Hawks.

Its pretty damn impressive how the most obscure characters are so instantly recognized on these boards! laugh (Ah...Ballistic is from Superman and Nightblade is from GL...I remember now)

So someone want to do a count of the head damage scenes? Did Black Adam manage to catch up with Superboy-Prime's total?

Oh, and note that Alex Luthor's death isn't explicitly shown, so there's still room for him to come back.

That should take some more research, but off the top of my head, Superboy Prime killed:

Pantha
Wildebeast
Bushido
Superboy (Conner)
Geist
RazrSharp
Ballistic
Nightblade
Mongrel
Major Disaster
Baron Blitzkrieg
Charaxes
Zauriel
32 Green Lanterns
Superman of Earth-2
Caused Wally West Flash to exit the DCU
Dismembers Risk per ripping his arm off

All and all, I say that's pretty impressive! While some of my faves are on the above list (Wally, Kal, etc.), check out how many 90's crap-age characters met their finale!

For Black Adam, all I can think of is Psycho Pirate & Amazo, but that has to be wrong. There probably were more in Villains United and possibly Infinite Crisis #1.

DB, I guess its still up in the air.

Decaps include: Pantha
Torn in half: Bushido, Charaxes
Melted into goo: all the rest!

Hmm... I thought there was at least another SP decap. Well, we know we've got at least two BA decaps.

I feel like I'm missing one too.

Other recent decaps: Mongul decapping his sister in GL #8.

Even cooler than a decap: Black Adam ending Psycho Pirate.

Black Adam killed Kobra by pulling out the heart during the Dark Reign and I remember that he also killed one villain but it's escaping my memory bank right now.

I thought it was someone else, not Major Disaster. Hmmm...someone needs to make a list of who's who in each panel.

Tangent Earth's Green Lantern's Lantern appears in post IC DCU.
Oh, is that what that was? I was going to ask.

And I'd be very surprised if Doomsday was dead. Frankly, I thought they disposed of him a little too casually; I thought that fight would take longer.

That was Judomaster that had his back broken by Bane. I guess Mexican Freestyle Wrestling is > than Judo...

I certainly could not tell if that was Major Disaster but it sure looked like it. I certainly wondered that myself.

Good call on Blitzkrieg guys. I was trying to piece that together.

As for the GL's, please note that one of the first to go was of the same race as Tellus from LSH.

How the heck was Baron Blitzkrieg still around anyway? Shouldn't he be in his eighties or nineties?

Captain Atom reappears.

Possible deaths of Looker and Technotron.

I didn't get the impression Geist and crew died, just that they dogpiled him. 'Course, only the Flashes and Supes have survived that particular technique.

The guy with the cross was another Bats related Bloodline, Cardinal Sin, I think.

Zauriel died in Morrison's JLA swan song, so this is just another in a series for the angel.

I'd heard Cap Atom reappeared in the Battle for Bludhaven. Did I misread something?

Looker was a vampire at last appearance, so maybe she's just really tan. wink

Just spouting off.

You know, I think you're right CJ, I think that is Cardinal Sin. I can picture that character right now. The whole internet presumes its Baron Blitzkrieg though right now...

I have to say guys, that I think this really means the following are dead though for real real:

Looker
Technocrat (thanks for previous correction)
Geist
Nightblade
Mongrel
Ballistic
Razrsharp
Zauriel
Supermen of America (not in this issue but I'll include)
Neptune Perkins (same)

Really, I think their deaths fit in with the whole IC mentality and there is reason each panel happened the way it did. I know there is an out available (for a few, a very easy out, a la Zauriel), but I'd count them as dead unless they somehow appear years later.

At the end of the day, the only two real candidates that might have survived IC who are now presumed dead (by fans) are Tempest and Dolphin.

DC has pretty much said they have their own internal 'who died' list, but will not release it, so they want to tease us by making us speculate. Which basically means Looker is probably on it, but 15 years from now a young writer named Timmy Taylor could come up and bring her back, and old man Didio can go (y'see? that's what we never released the list!).

Going on that assumption, I'd like to begin the Master Hero Death List for IC-related stuff, although I'll let one of you fine upstanding citizens of LW tackle the much more massive and intimidating villains/supporting character list.

Dead Heroes from Identity Crisis to end of minis
Sue Dibny
Firestorm
Harbinger (Lyla)
Doc (of the Omega Men)
Darkstars (Ferrin Colos, Munchukk, and Chaser Bron)
VIGILANTE I
WHIP II
GIMMIX
BOY BLUE
DYNO-MITE DAN
I, SPYDER
TIMOTHY RAVENWIND
IBIS THE INVINCIBLE
TAIA
DOCTOR 13 (Terry Thirteen)
INDIGO
Manhunter (Dan Richards)
Manhunter (Chase Lawler)
Manhunter (Kirk DePaul)
Hector Hall
Fury
Blue Beetle
Pariah
Rocket Red
Supermen of America
Sparta
Hawkwoman (Shayera Thal)
SHAZAM (aka the Wizard)

Killed during IC, IC Crossovers or Specials
Black Condor
PHANTOM LADY II (Delilah "Dee" Tyler) (Skewered through chest by Deathstroke. - INFINITE CRISIS #1)
HUMAN BOMB (Roy Lincoln) (Bludgeoned to death by Bizarro. - INFINITE CRISIS #1)
Jade
Dr. Fate (Nabu)
Airwave
Neptune Perkins
Tempest - debatable
Dolphin - debatable
Lois Lane of Earth-2
Pantha
WIldebeast
Bushido
Lois Lane of Earth-2
Superboy (Conner Kent)
Peacemaker II
Ballistic
Geist
Nightblade
Mongrel
RazrSharp
Cardinal Sin?
Major Disaster
Zauriel
Looker
Technocrat
Breach (at least exiting DCU forever)
32 Green Lanterns
Superman of Earth-2 (Kal-L)

Gone
The Atom
Flash III (Wally West)
Wonder Woman of Earth-2
Max Mercury - now confirmed as dead

Diasbled
Risk - arm ripped off
Judomaster - back broken

Erased from Continuity
Supergirl/Matrix

Still very much up in the air
Batgirl (Cassandra Cain)
Thunder & Lightning - now the world is abuzz with thoughts that these two died in Villain United Special, but I really don't think you can accurate say that, so I didn't include in the above.

Wasn't Nightblade's power to survive anything? So, shouldn't he have survived?

My personal theory is that Shazam the Wizard isn't dead at all, but is hiding out in Blue Beetle's scarab.

I am still not sure about Major Disaster and his appearance - I think someone else....a part of the group that Shock Trauma is a member of. could not remember his name...

it is possible that Looker, Technocrat, and Nightblade could still be alive - Looker could have at last minute shielded herself and Technocrat from the blast that might have send them somewhere. No body , no death....unlike Razorsharp, Geist, etc....they have their body being shown by VZZZZED and charred.

I am still disturbed that they still have no explanation on how Bolt, Gold, Electrocutioner, and others has been brought back alive..yeah Superboy Prime causing them to come back alive...riiiiight and that's a copout. I think that the editor is really being lazy...did not even bother to check Black LIghtning's costume to make sure that it is consistent. Halo's costume? oh well.

for somee reason i would have thought Major Disaster would have gone out in his classic costume (as a villain) or be included in the plot if he was in his later look, as a hero.

Nighty, that's some obscure trivia! I have so little recollection of Nightblade I couldn't for the life of me remember his name until someone reminded me, only that he appeared in GL.

I guess it is possible that Looker & Technocrat could have survived, but that doesn't seem to go with the spirit of IC (whether good or bad). Personally, Looker was my favorite member of the old Outsiders, above even Metamorpho.

Major Disaster - It just seems to look like him so much, I can't think of who else it could be. Any theories?

Matthew, nice theory on SHAZAM. I personally expect him to return eventually myself, so it'll be interesting to see how.

I dunno, it looks like they're going to let Billy run with the wizard's powers for a bit.

I think the hooded Marvel in the double splash panel is Billy. Though it's white he's got the traditional double breasted costume of Captain Marvel. I think the Marvel in red behind him is Freddie.

I'm sure the Wizard will return though not for a while. Regardless, I take it that Jeff Smith will be doing an out of continuity "All-Star" take on the Marvel family.

The boys at Newsarama think it's someone called "Boss Moxie".

It looks like its up for debate among the internet (much like, well, er, anything!). Matt Brady says Boss Moxie, but they're apparently not sure. As usual, a forgetful editor will unknowingly decide this one day I'm sure laugh
