Remember, I said you needed to come up with the correct code-name for this question. One of you has the right Legionairre, but the wrong code name. As far as I know, the issue that this quote is from is one of only one or two times that this Legionairre was ever referred to by this code-name.

OK, time for another hint. The issue that this quote comes from is collected in a Trade Paperback (not an archive), and was only originally published in the last couple of years.
The only other times that this code-name has been used, I believe, is from Adventure #354 and possibly LSH #300.

No, Lightning Man showed up a number of other times as well. I haven't checked, but as far as I know this character only showed up on the few occasions I have mentioned.
Another hint: the quote is from a relatively recent issue of a traditionally non-LSH related title.

Almost a week and no guesses. I'm going to give the answer to Dedman--it was indeed Tenzil, but the answer I wanted was Matter-Eater Man, who made an appearance not long ago in the 3rd Superman/Batman arc, collected as "Absolute Power."
