That's them, Xben, your question sir or madam.

(Are you an Xben because you used to be a Ben?)

I'm not "an" Xben - I'm the XBen, the costumed crime fighter who has the mutant power of making a grain of sand appear in my enemy's eye. Or at least that's what we used to joke about in college.

(Actually, I've written most of an extensive comic series about this character and others based on my college friends, spending a lot of energy trying to figure out how that power could be used to overcome overwhelming threats. A lot of my love for the Legion comes from a similar interest. Unfortunately, my artist friend hasn't drawn any of it yet).

OK, in the massive LSH poster that Keith Giffen drew back in the 1980's featuring just about everyone from the Legion up to that point, who is Brainiac 5 looking at?

Actually, I'll accept either of two answers, since I'm not 100% sure which of two characters it is (I'm looking at it on a low-res scan).

haha Well, we've only got about 200 characters to choose from. wink

I'll go for the obvious one - Supergirl.

I'd say he's looking deep into Element Lad's eyes, but I suppose your "other" possibility is Streaky.

My views are my own and do not reflect those of everyone else... and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Well you probably don't mean Time Trapper's elbow, so the closest character would be Streaky. If for some reason you're not counting Super-Pets or couldn't see the kitty on your scan, after Streaky there's the hooded robed non-Trapper figure with shaded eyes whom I don't recognize and then Element Lad.

I suspect the uncertainty is over whether it's Streaky or Whizzy.

I checked the key before I answered! http://www.legionworld.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=10;t=000043;p=1#000006

So Supergirl's X-Kryptonite causes a mutation (in cats at least).

You'd think there'd have been more stories of the supercats through the years. I wonder if Krypto ever was portrayed siring a lineage?

Well, there was the time he was changed into a
pregnant female collie...

But other than that, as far as I know Whizzy was the only super-pet descendant portrayed.

Yeah, Streaky it is, although from my scan I couldn't be confident that it wasn't Whizzy and that Streaky wasn't hiding somewhere else on the poster. Did Whizzy ever appear anywhere else but that one story?

On the postboot many-characters poster in LSH SF&O #1, three characters appear more than once. Two of them - Lori Morning and Triad, have excuses to appear (virtually) simultaneously in multiple places. Who's the third?

Indeed. He's there both as Jan and as "the villain formerly known as Starfinger".

[Apropos of nothing, it's odd how prominent Gas Girl is, since she had a one-panel cameo in one issue, when more prominent characters like Aven and Karate Kid are shoved in the background.]

Go ahead EDE.

And who is the only* major Postboot Legion character that doesn't appear on that crumby poster?

Clue - I'm still bitter about it! mad

(* There're actually 2 that I can think of but acting like ______ has been singled out is fuel for my rage.)

Back to EDE.

The Amazers and Workforce both did fairly badly - Atom'X, Phrenologax and Blast-Off are all missing. And Phrenologax wasn't even dead (every character on the poster was still alive as of LSH 100)
