No, it wasn't Brainy, and it wasn't a flight ring. It was a Legionnaire, though.

I'll give some more info and repeat the question:

The first time we saw Element Lad use his powers after his debut, he was changing lead into gold in order to help <BLANK> make a <BLANK>.

Not Superboy, and yes it was a statue. But really, the answer should include who or what the statue was of.

So the question is modified to be

The first time we saw Element Lad use his powers after his debut, he was changing lead into gold in order to help <BLANK> make a statue of <BLANK>.

The mention of statues rings a bell so I am fairly sure this is correct:

The first time we saw Element Lad use his powers after his debut, he was changing lead into gold in order to help Lightning Lad make a statue of Proty.

Yup, that's it. A little memorial statue as thanks for sacrificing himself for bringing him back to life!

When five new Legionnaires were held prisoner by Dr. Regulus, what was distinctive about Quislet, and what was the significance of the fact for another storyline?

(What issue was that Leeta 87 play in?)

As or this question - hmm I have no idea. Random and wild and uninformed guess - he couldn't go unconscious and this meant he wasn't knocked out by the Emerald Empress later on?

(Now that I think about it, do any characters have that ability? If not, they should invent one who does. I like it.)

That he was the only one who wasn't knocked unconscious is the first half, but there's another reason why that fact is significant.

Note that what is important is that it distinguishes him from the other new Legionnaires.

This was supposed to be a fairly easy question, but it was really hard to phrase in a way that didn't just give it away.

The answer I'm looking for was that Quislet wasn't knocked unconscious, but _______ was, and thus ________.

Blacula: re: Leeta 87: Annual #1 1990 (TMK)

EDE: The answer I'm looking for was that Quislet wasn't knocked unconscious, but Sensor Girl was, and thus Quiset saw her without her Sensor Girl illusionary appearance?

Hmm... that's still not quite it, though Sensor Girl is correct. There's something that is specifically stated to be revealed about Sensor Girl in that incident.

Okay, nobody seems to be guessing this.

Basically, the incident in question was listed as one of the clues for the "Who is Sensor Girl?" mystery. What I'm looking for is why it was a clue.

Supergirl?

If so, then you are suggesting that Quislet no being knocked out, but Sensor Girl was, was a sign she wasn't Supergirl (the main red herring of the Who Is Sensor Girl storyline)?

That's it. According to the list of "Who is Sensor Girl?" clues in one of the lettercols, this scene is supposed to demonstrate that she is not invulnerable, which is supposed to be a clue that she is not Supergirl.

What specifically does preboot Karate Kid have in common with Kid Quantum II, Monstress, and Gates?

Is it that their powers duplicate the powers of another Legionnaire who is not related to them?

Karate Kid I - Karate Kid II
Monstress - anyone else with super-strength
Gates - Veilmist

The only problem is Kid Quantum II, since the only other time manipulator is her brother. Unless we count the preboot Kid Quantum I as being unrelated to her.
