I became a Legion fan when Element Lad was leader. I've read off and on ever since. I *love* the Archives, however.
Next question:
I can think of occassions on which two of the three founders have fired laser guns. Which two, and what did they fire at?

Yep, using modifications on his arm made by Doctor Lanphier.
But he didn't fire a laser gun at the creature, as far as I remember.

I don't believe so.
Hint: The Legionnaire in question fired the gun in an attempt to wing an opponent. It didn't have the intended effect...

The only Legionnaire to fire a gun at an opponent was Star Boy (at Kenz Nuhor)- but since he wasnt a founder, i cant see how that could be significant...

You're probably thinking of Superboy showing a tape of Brainiac Five using deadly force against an opponent, which was soon revealed to be a robot.
As it turned out, the opponent, rather than being disable by the weapon, was in fact energized by it, becoming more powerful...

Evillo! Lightning Lad shot Evillo with a ray gun and it was really an energizer!
Man, I had forgotten that.
(There was a scene in the Nardo story where one of the Legionnaires shot him but it made him stronger, wasn't there?)
