Pete I knew about. The others....I'm not so sure.
But since you're being sneaky and saying "played with" instead of "member of", I'll go with Chester Thompson and Daryl Stuermer.

Good guesses. Only I'm being even sneakier than that.

Okay, here's a hint:
One of the two played live with Genesis, but never in the studio. The other played in the studio, but never live.

Ok, I'll try Bill Bruford and Nick D'Virilgio (sp?).
Of course, it's probably whoever they got to play bass on the "Calling All Stations" tour or something....

Bruford appeared with King Crimson in 1995.
Nick D'Virgilio appeared with Tears for Fears just a few months back.

OK, since I got two out of three, I'll reckon I'm up.
What band considered naming their first LP Easter's Cancelled: The Body's Been Found?

It wasn't that Canadian band Anvil, was it?
And as an aside, guess who's just got some tickets to see Queen and Paul Rodgers......

In that case it must surely be Metallica.
Good guess, Om. Right side of the pond at least.....

I pride myself on my guessing skills.
Too bad they haven't helped me at all over in "Know Your Legion Worlders".
It is surely Metallica. They eventually settled for something a little less confrontational for the LP title - Kill 'Em All.
You're up, Numf.

Motley Crue are coming back to the UK in the near future (end of Feb?)and are being supported by Killing Joke. But where did the Crue play their first British gig? And who did they support? (I had a much better question about Rat Salade, but someone had asked it before. )

Wasn't it at Castle Donington as part of the Monsters of Rock tour? With AC/DC and Van Halen?

You forgot Ozzy, Gary Moore, Y&T and Accept, but I gotta give you it LL. My first festival gig back in 1984.
Well done.
Your go LL.

Testing? The rock n roll thread has a roadie!

For the record, I bumped this because some threads bumped recently here (mostly by you, toth :p) haven't been displaying all their posts* and I wanted to see if it was going to happen with *any* Spaceopoly threads that were revived. While, clearly, it isn't, I'd still be wary about bumping pre-2013 stuff - and if you come across another thread whose last visible post time/poster is different from what's shown in on the forum thread listing, please post about it in the SPHQ forum.
*The posts still exist in the database - they show up in a search - just not in the threads, with no apparent rhyme or reason as to why. Setting different numbers of posts/page even gives you different "last" posts in the afflicted threads!
[PS: HWW, I'm pretty sure nigh-on a decade lets you call TTD and ask a question if you want to revive this 'for real' :p]

Maybe a newer generation of posters would be interested in some rock 'n' roll trivia.
All right. New question:
Lou, Jude, and Mad Anne were members of what band?

It certainly is. Lou Watts, Jude Abbott, and Alice Nutter (also know as Mad Anne) were the female members of that band.
The next question is yours.

Due to frequent changes in line up, which band name completes the following quote from their only remaining founder and constant member.
"If it's me and your granny on bongos, then it's ..."
"...not having to believe in a thing to be interested in it and not having to explain a thing to appreciate the wonder of it."

'Tis the season of hints giving...
- They have not long released their 30th album.
- The lead singer has a very distinctive voice. I'd not call it necessarily a singing voice.
- One of their songs shoehorns in the following:-
"The use of and your smug advertisements of your tendril ocean bed achievements does not justify your abuse of privacy piracy act."
catchy, and it's one of my favs of theirs.
- One of the characters in Grant Morrison's Zenith has a badge with the group's name on it.
"...not having to believe in a thing to be interested in it and not having to explain a thing to appreciate the wonder of it."
