Nope.
Hint: Think along the lines of "Wizard of Oz".

He exposed the fact that Schenker wasn't actually playing - or, more accurately that there was a guitarist hiding behind the scenes playing the licks.

Dragged him up on stage and everything. There was uproar in the music press at the time. I can't remember if it was 'cos GB was pissed and exposing himself, or if it was 'cos of the second guitarist.
Apparently GB thought that guitarist #2 deserved some of the plaudits.
Now that sounds like a gig to have been at.
(I always thought that it was his bad dress sense that got him kicked out of Rainbow! Or at least his refusal to fit in with Blackmores blueprint for the band.)

Excerpt from a Schenker-esque website -
On August 27, 1982, right after the secret "warming-up gig" at an industrial art college in Sheffield in preparation for the upcoming Reading Festival, Graham Bonnet suddenly left the band. It is said that behind amplifiers on the stage at the secret gig, Steve Casey, Michael\'s guitar roadie played a guitar, Andy Nye played keyboards, and Hugh McKenna, a brother of Ted McKenna sang as a backing vocalist. It is said that this was because MSG had lost Paul Raymond, a multi-instrumental player (guitar, keyboards and backing vocals) and they needed his substitute. Graham opposed to this methodology and he quarreled with Michael fiercely before the show. Furthermore, Graham pulled this hidden guitarist from the backstage and declared that it was this guy who actually played all the solos and not Michael. Bonnet proceeded to insult Schenker and it ended with a fist fight between Graham and Michael on stage.

I believe it i am going to try to get this pic to show you, its schenker and phil mogg of ufo on stage a couple of years ago. Michael was a little upset at phil and showed his displeasure by giving him the finger on stage in front of the audience, awesome pic and funny as hell.

You've got it. Great job.
As for why Bonnet baied out of Rainbow, it appears that the band was getting too poppy for him. Though I believe he once said he should probably have stayed for at least one more record.

Cheers Miner. Or do you prefer OM?
Sticking (?) with the Scorpions family tree, Pete Ways band Waysted are currently in the studio recording a new album called, I believe, "Back From The Dead".
Which American solo artist (I don't know what, if any, band he was in prior to his solo career) is helping them produce it?

Once touted as being the probable replacement in Duran Duran for Simon Le Bon.
My avatar is a bit of a hint, boy.

Okay boys and girls, we'll try that hint again, with a bit more feeling, shall we?
My avatar is a bit of a hint (Nightwing aka .....), boy (......, the name of a well known transvestite singer famous in the 80s).
Put the two sets of ....s together and you'll hopefully get the answer.

If I tell you that this venerable space is dedicated to an Arcadian river-nymph who was pursued by Pan. To escape him she fled into the waters of her river where she pleaded the gods for help, and they changed her into a reed. Disappointed at her escaping from him, Pan cut the reed into pieces of gradually decreasing lengths, fastened them together with wax and thus produced the shepherd's flute, or "pipes of Pan", upon which he plays. Which venerable space am I talking about and who sang about it? And no Numf, there's no trumpeters playing on it
