I'm fairly certain that Seger sang backup on "Heartache Tonight" (he co-wrote the song).

Glenn Frey sang backup on "RGM."

What band's name translates (loosely) as "Sun Moon" in two different languages?

Clue time? The band members are not native speakers of either of the two languages.

Nor of English.

No guesses?

Another clue: Formed in the late '60s, the band almost immediately split into two bands with sequentially numbered names.

Sorry. Off on a camping trip. Just got back.

The answer, I believe, is Amon Duul. Amon Duul II being the longer lasting/better remembered band.

You got it, OM. I was getting worried that I'd stumped everyone.

"Amon" comes from the Egyptian sun god; "Duul" is from a Turkish word for "moon." The band, however, is German.

"Yeti" is a great record.

While we're on Krautrock....

What band derived their name from two singers of a renowned band based in Germany?

Hint time: While the band was based in Germany and popular there, neither singer was German.

Hint 2: The band in question can be heard in a recent commercial rocking up a Cole Porter song.

Cheating is encouraged. Indeed, Hint 3 was designed for web searching.

Can isn't the answer, but Can is the key to the answer. Check the question again.

The answer must be Mooney Suzuki, named after Can's two vocalists, Malcolm Mooney (American) and Damo Suzuki (Japanese).

Kudos to you, OM. That was a toughie!

A member of what band once wanted to call an album "Squat On My Grunt"?

Bonus: Name the band member.

Bonus: What name did the album eventually wind up with?

Clue: The band later used part of that name in the same context that the Beatles used "apple."

2nd clue: The album in question probably marks the first use of the word "motherf----er" on a rock album.
