Nope it isn't Yes. I'll give a final hint later on if no one gets it before then.

Laby got it. Dream Theater was known as Majesty. But now we've got a tie. HWW and Sonnie B. each got 2 right answers. Since HWW asked the question prior to mine, I think Sonnie should have the next one. Greg, you got any problems with that?

Thank you gentlemen, I'm afraid I won't be about much for a wee while though so here's an easy one for you all - who, originally, were called "the Army"? How much easier could it be? asking questions, even easy ones... Don't wait for me to post if you get it right as I have a commission to work on so won't be here much for the next three or four days....

I know this one!! The Army became White Heart, who in turn became Heart. (They figured it wouldn't do to have two girls in a band called Army. Sexist pigs. ) My question: Name four members of Deep Purple who were also members of Rainbow. (Yes, that's right: Four.)

I'm not sure but lets try
i) Ronnie James Dio
ii) Richie Blackmore
iii) ummmmm.... Ian Gillan?
iv) Geezer Butler (actually that was a total guess but I always thought he had a cool name!)

I'll try:
Richie Blackmore, obviously.
Roger Glover
Joe-Lynn Turner, who replaced Gillian in Purple for an LP.
Don Airey, who if memory serves has replaced the retired Jon Lord in the current Purple line-up.

OK,
Name three guitarists who have played in Siouxsie and The Banshees and a band they played in either before or afterwards. (And in one case, both)

God, I've killed this game again, haven't I? OK, I'm gonna be gone for a few days, and you are probably gonna want to play while I'm away , so I'm going to drop the number of people I'm asking for from three to one.

I'm going to take a stab (hah!) and say Sid Vicious, who was later in the Sex Pistols.

Close, very close. Vicious was the drummer at their first ever gig. But he didn't play guitar.
And he didn't really play drums, either. Or bass.

Robert Smith? Didn't he fill in briefly on a tour once or am I just imagining that I read that!

Yep, Robert Smith is one. He filled in for them on a tour and then joined officially a few years later. He's on the Nocturne live disc and the Hyena LP. That's him playing on "Dear Prudence". And he still worked with The Cure the whole time.
Some other answers:
John McGeoch (Magazine, Public Image Limited) Knox Chandler (Psychedelic Furs) John Carruthers (Clock DVA) Marco Pirroni (Adam & The Ants)
Over to you, Estimate Lad.

Well on June 1, 1974 Don Felder joined the Eagles.
June 1, 1974 is also the name of an album with Kevin Ayers, Brian Eno, Nico & John Cale. I think Mike Oldfield and Robert Wyatt also helped out on the album.
