Oh I forget the name of the villian. I think it was a regular crook possessed by some cosmic foe of the JSA (Wotan or Karnack? I'm not sure). He had just taken out the JSA. Police Commissioner Bruce Wayne dons the Batman outfit, climbs up the side of a building (catching the Flash as he was tossed off the building), grapples with the crook, and the mystic forces consume them both. Helena wakes up in time to see her father die.
Bruce Wayne is revealed to be Batman, but Dr. Fate ultimately uses magic to restore the secret and preserving Dick's & Helena's secret identities.
