Jay said it in "The Adventures of Bluntman and Chronic"? (I just like imagining him saying it...)

I could so easily see him saying that as well.
Okay clue time.
This is from a Vertigo title and I'll even accept an answer of only the name of the comic.
Of course if anyone can get the character as well thats cool too.

No sorry Drake.
Although it is the perfect line for old Con Job.
I thought this would be easier. Ok another clue.
Like I said it's from a vertigo title. It ran for 70 issues from 1990 to 1996 and was an update of an old character.

Well done Drake.
The character who said it was Lenny.
I'm really surprised no-one got this sooner. I do think the later issues, after kathy died, were not so good. I got the impression they were just weird for the sake of being weird but up till then it was an exellent, thought provoking series. Am I the only one who remembers it?
Drake you seem to have quite good taste in comics and films,Jay and Silent Bob, Hellblazer and now Shade...either that or good taste in guesses.
Anyway, Drake the floor is yours.

Sorry for stalling the thread - I used to love "Shade the Changing Man" when Bachalo really hit his stride (before his art went overboard) and before Kathy died.
Next Q: Why was Machine Man returned to earth by the Celestials?

To restore a cosmic balance or some such thing?

I guess a clue won't really be helpful. The reason the Celestials returned Machine Man to earth was that he was (and I quote), "total ****" (not a highpoint in the life of Aaron Stack).
I'll throw out a new question then: Which hero made his first earthly appearance in East Bromwich, England?

Etrigan? (total guess - not even sure he's classified as a hero.)

Oh, dammit, I'm blanking on the name... I've met the creator a couple of times down in Bristol. It's not Union Jack but damned if I can think what he's called. I even have a couple of issues. It was self published and is now published by Image I think. I may have to google it and find out because otherwise it'll drive me insane trying to remember...

Good guess -- but wrong . This hero isn't British themed in any way.

Nope ... but perhaps you were going on the "first *earthly* appearance" part of my question ... that's a wise move...
