And I also feel better about the costume. This was one of my least favorite designs, but now I kinda digging it!

I'm with you, Cru! The preview made that cape look so big and bulky, but it looks great here.

I have now gone from cautiously optimistic to wildly anticipating the new series!!! Lu has always been one of my faves and now she's getting a spotlight in the third issue of the series!!! Did Waid write the spotlight she had early on in the first year of the postboot? That was probably one of the best sinlge issues of the entire reboot! Here's hoping he can work some magic again and make this Legion even more endearing and interesting then before.

The cape is great, Barry! I really like the tall collar! It's great to see such an eclectic mix of superhero fashion styles from various eras!

Barry, you and Mark have a lot to live up to with your Triplicate Girl. She has been one of the most emotionally interesting characters in BOTH versions of the Legion to date. Us Lu-Lovers have high expectations!

I think the faces ARE slightly (very subtly) different and take a look at their bellies and breasts, there's a bit of difference there too.
Could all three Lornu bodies be slightly different ages?

I like it. The cape does look better. hey I'm skeptical about capes...so what?! It's the 31st century for crying out loud! heh.

As Blacula stated the background has me excited. The aliens walking around and cool buildings. I've noticed a nice contrast Barry has pulled off besides the Legion in the bright costumes and capes...this world seems very futuristic/hi-tech. The Science Police looked awesome in the preview pages. Infact I may be rooting for them. (I've always loved the SPs) It's a nice contrast I am sure Barry is doing on purpose.

Another thing I've seen on other boards some fans say "A whole issue on Triplicate Girl...how boring?" but this baby is 40 PAGES long! The spotlight be on Lourno but not all 40 pages of issue 3!!! So we will get LOTS of fun subplots which IMO is a major element of the Legion.

Finally (one more thing!) I've never been a big Triplicate Girl fan. I liked how she was part of the conspiracy during the Levitz run...but that is about it. She was very popular during the postboot though and am glad some postboot fans will be able to get this spotlight. I also see it as a chance for me to like this version of Luornu more. With that said...keep it simple please! That is the number #1 rule in the Legion. Complication is evil. Excited about some differences or sci-fi explanation of her powers...but hope it doesn't turn into a clone/magic mess.

And my guess? She's three different girls (sisters) who unite to become 3 times more powerful in everything.

I don't know who thought an issue on Lu would be boring, but I don't.

Jorge, I think it's "only" 30 pages not 40. Barry has said he'll be drawing 30 pages a month. This led me to wonder if we'll have backup stories each month but I think the book is 30 pages rather than 40.

I think Barry said the differences in the heights of the girls is due to perspective.

I'm pretty sure the "extra" 10 pages are alloted for ad space, although Mark, Barry and Steve W. are fighting for a lettercol...

Just a reminder that we can probably help their cause by actually WRITING letters...!

I certainly enjoyed the post-boot Lu!
This version looks like she has the same attitude(s) so I'm excited about the spotlight issue.

The original Triplicate Girl had a similar cape, length and color, in the Adventure issues and I like what Barry's done with the top of this new one.

And I have to say, that Barry's backgrounds have always been full of beautiful little treasures!

We're going to be learning plenty about her AND the Legion. So I doubt we'll have 30 pages of just Lu...

...though Personally, I'd dig it if Lu got her own series!

Ooops I meant 30 pages. And as you all said Lu encountering many things we just get her perspective.

Reminds me of that Who's Who in the LOSH (by Waid I think?) where Phantom Girl shows the reporter the new headquarters. As a kid I gotta say I LOVED that. That Who's Who series is a major reason why I am a big Legion fan today.

I am *so* glad the "purple-neutral-orange" schtick appears to be gone! It was really beaten to death in the reboot...

TG was a character we thought long and hard about to come up with a fresh and interesting take on her and her powers. I'm very much looking forward to hearing what you all feel about her in the new book

They're all from three different hypertime universes where they're the only surviving Lornu bodies and they can combine and be whole again only in the Waidverse.

Actually maybe I shouldn't respond to these guesses in case someone does get close!

Maybe she's like that bad guy from Alpha Flight who brings other versions of himself from different point in time...! (maybe?)

Or maybe she's really Imskian triplets, but since they had Violet and the no duplication of powers rule, two of the sister get really small and hide in the pocket of the third to make people think she's duplicating herself!

OOooorr They're three different girls who got into some kind of accident and are a combined entity - they maintain the looks of one of them, the second one drives the main brain and the third one actually gives them the power the triplicate (ok, that doesn't make a lot of sense...)

(she's probably really a big Proty anyway...)
