OK, the fact that he made letters and words with his lightning, then?
Don't recall seeing that a second time, either, so I'll just guess - was it during his time possessed as Starfinger?

Hint: Shortly after the incident, Garth found himself being arrested by a Science Police Captain with whom he shared a common homeworld...

I doubt that this is right, but I'll guess. Assuming CMK is right about the electrical caligraphy (cuz he's cool like that!), when Live Wire was searching for Mekt was mistaken for him. This would be on the planet Bisbe, shortly before Mekt blasted off his arm.

Nope.
Hint: Appeared within a year of the tale in which Garth's original electrical message appeared in a flashback montage...

Wow, now I remember that story. That's when the Legionnaires used an amusement park's holograms to snap Brainiac 5 out of his madness. Superboy & the LSH # 256, IIRC. I guess Lightning Lad must have used his lightning to make words warning people to clear out of the place.
Wow, good memory.

Yup. Nine issues after S/LSH #247's Legion 247th "anniversary" story featuring the montage of images from Adventure Comics #247, Garth finally uses his electric skywriting powers once more to persuade the patrons of Cosmic World to leave in an orderly manner so that the Legion can commandeer the holo facilities to save Brainy's mind. After doing so, the park owner orders the Legionnaires arrested, and SP Captain Trake (who despite appearing Scottish, is later revealed to be a native of Winath in a subsequent letter column) complies. However, Brainy demonstrates his full return to sanity by showing that Cosmic World has inflicted ecological harm to the area, and after rectifying the damage, everyone leaves happy. Your turn, CMK.

After the conspiracy storyline, when Brainiac 5 was court-martialed for the murder of Jaxon Rugarth (aka the Infinite Man), he almost correctly predicted the outcome of the vote. Who was the one Legionnaire's vote that he mis-predicted?

I believe it was Quislet, who abstained.

That is correct. I was going to mention the irony of Quislet, Esq getting that question wrong, but of course that would have given it away.

It was Gear. I find him an intreging character who's calling out for development. I'm sure he is difficult to write for, to make identifiable for the reader, but that was probably true of Spock, too. They share the Human/Machine dichodomy that ultimately makes them the most interesting and identifiable. All of us deal daily with the emotion vs. intellect dynamic. Perhaps he will be featured in the next incarnation of LSH, but I imagine he is far down on any creative team's list. More than likely, we'll see him in the background of L3W #'s 5 & 6, and then never again. Quelle domage. It's yours, CMK.
