This is a reboot of an old game I started on the Legion board (the original thread seems to be lost in antiquity.)

The game is very simple. You have to pick a situation in which the LSh would have to send an "away team," and then the next person picks a 6-member team to go and deal with the situation, and then adds a new situation. The missions can be serious, silly, or basically anything you can come up with. You can use any incarnation of the LSH when picking your team, but try to stay in the same period within your team itself.

Also, you can pick your own team for another previously-posted mission (part of the fun of the game is seeing the Legion teams others come up with.)

I'll start with a mission, a team, and then give another mission for the next person, so you all can see what I mean.

White Witch (team leader)
Princess Projectra (can fool Mordru into thinking he's buried alive)
Shadow Lass (can disorient Mordru with her shadowcasting)
Mon-El (strength and endurance)
Star Boy (can topple a mountain down on him from a distance)
Dawnstar (can track Mordru if he has indeed escaped)

See? It's easy and fun!
Now for something more silly for the next mission...

HOWEVER, as this team handles the LSV, a prison riot occurs on Takron-Galtos. So now you can't send any of the above Legionnaires.

Well, then, for the prison riot, I'd send:

Sensor Girl - leader and riot control
Timber Wolf - ferocity and prowess
Tellus - both for his TP & TK
Magnetic Kid - reshackles the inmates
Polar Boy - 'cools' things down
Dawnstar - tracks down any who escape offworld

Shrinking Violet - again, obvious
Laurel Gand - Assuming the war means this is the V4 team; powerhouse

Ultra Boy - Again, for the muscle

Dr. Regulus has just corrupted a sun in a populated star system, and it's threatening to explode! Who do you send to calm the disaster at the sun?

Kid Quantum II - can slow down the explosion

Brainiac 5 - if anyone can figure out a way to reverse it, Brainy can

Umbra - her darkfield might help them get closer to the sun

Shikari - start evacuating people

Star Boy - maybe his gravity powers can help out

Element Lad - his trnasmutation powers might be needed

An important ambassador gets caught in a cosmic storm and gets lost in time. Who do you send to find him?

Sun Boy (for obvious reasons)
Saturn Girl (to help with crowd control on the planet)
Chemical King (his power to alter chemical reactions could buy Brainy more time)
Ultra Boy (to mop up the goons Regulus undoubtedly has hanging around, not to mention that ultra-speed can come in handy here)
Phantom Girl (She can assist Brainiac 5 with little danger to herself.)

Uh oh. Not only do these guys have to travel through time, they've got to plan out their party for Gates while they get there!

Brainiac 5 - time travel expertise and Gates' friend
Kid Quantum II - powers are relevant
Dreamer - foresee possible time-tossed menaces and birthday mishaps
Cosmic Boy - can lead the way and lead a good toast
Saturn Girl - Mentally track the ambassador and knows just what to buy Gates!
Star Boy - A little bit of muscle and someone who is willing to listen to Gates rant about how contrived birthdays are.

While the above Legionnaires are heading through time, Robotica's new homeworld of War World faces a civil war between those who wish to live peacefully with others and those still bent on conquest.

Gates (to get rid of any troublemakers in a hurry)

Gear - should be a good liason between the Legion & Roboticans
Invisible Kid II - a smart Legionnaire would seem handy
Triad - good administrative skills helpful in negotiations
Apparition - good UP connections, like it or not.
Sister Andromeda - a Daxamite Nun to box a few ears should things get out of hand.
Wildfire - a little muscle, cause you never know.

Scott, this is a great team! My only substitution would be Cosmic Boy instead of Ultra Boy, in disguise as a member of one of the Magno-ball teams!

D'oh! Thanks Kippers! That's what I get for thinking with my 21st Century hat on instead of my 31st. Cos playing magno-ball would have been perfect. Except at the time this team existed (in our time frame) pros were not allowed to compete. Yeah, that's my excuse!

White Witch. Xerox is her home turf, so she would lead the away team.

Chameleon Boy. A shape-shifter could be handy in dealing with the animals.

Blok. A little muscle never hurts.

Timber Wolf. Same as Blok, plus it's always fun to see the two of them work together.

Tellus. Can telapathically soothe the escaped beasts.

Sensor Girl. Her illusion casting powers could also be used to help calm and/or trick the beasts.

Next Mission: There's been yet another riot at Takron-Galtos! As there has just been a riot there the UP would like you to handle this before word gets out causing a media uproar. Dispatch a team to quickly and quietly put down the insurrection!

Tharn has had its share of cooling problems before, but in the old Adventure days before Polar Boy was a member to help his home planet, Who would you send to repair and save Tharn's sabotaged cooling devices?

Cosmic Boy - probably the prefect host - he can make everybody (except Kon-el ) feel at home
Apparition - to back Rokk up; I'm sure she's picked up a few hosting tips from her dear mother

This particular student is going to become a great mage some day, but she wasn't able to see the student's identity! Chameleon Boy can obviously blend in with the other students.

Magnetic Kid would be about the right age to blend with the students.

Sensor Girl's powers will help disguise the more exotic looking Mysa. Also, she's magic-sensitive, and might be able to detect Mordru's presence.

Phantom Girl for her espionage squad experience. She will also be handy in tailing the student once he or she is identified.

Next Mission: Nullport is under attack by Sklarian Raiders. Send a team to Fend off the attack and recover the cruisers they've already made off with.
