Green is my favorite color. Purple and red are very nice. Brown is OK. And yellow is nice.
Orange is my least favorite color. It is not as bright as yellow or as warm as red. And it would be my very last choice to paint something.

1Jan07 Slovenia became the 13th member of the 27-nation European Union to adopt the Euro as its currency. In two months, two more countries are due to enter the Euro Zone, but I am already looking farward. I'm impatient like that. Which country do I pin my hopes on getting the Euro in 2009? 1. Malta 2. Poland 3. Estonia 4. Norway 5. Denmark 6. Hungary 7. Romania 8. Cyprus 9. Turkey 10. Sweden 11. Slovakia 12. Czech Rep. 13. Greece 14. Latvia 15. Utopia

Actually, I was just looking for one answer. I didn't word it very well, but the 14th and 15th countries have already been detirmined. I'm anticipating the 16th, which is by no means certain.
The government of Denmark would love to adopt the Euro and have pegged the Danish Krone to it. However, a majority of the Danish people aren't ready for it, and Denmark is one of two EU countries (with UK) that are under no obligation to join the Euro Zone.
Turkey isn't a member of the EU yet, but hopes to join by 2015. It will be some years after that that they adopt the Euro as their currency.

No. Poland, with a large population and industrial economy, would be ideal, but first their government needs to learn how to budget responsibly. Maybe by 2014...?

Slovakia is correct. Malta and Cyprus will join in Jan., and I'm counting on Slovakia soon after that. (Maybe I need a new hobby...?)

16. The United States.
A return to the Bretton Woods system (this time with a reserve currency set as a weighted average basket of world currencies) and a pegging of the US dollar to the Euro would prevent a crazy fiscally undisciplined government from spending trillions on a war without end and tax cuts for the rich that just allow them to get more credit cards to import Lexuses and HDTVs exacerbating the balance of payments creating havoc all around the world.
Also the thought of the IMF and World Bank imposing an austerity program in Washington to maintain a peg as they've done all over the world for 60 years amuses me.

I couldn't resist a free shot at the richest country in the world without some level of universal government paid healthcare and national paid maternity and yet seems to have tons of money for other endeavours of much less utility.

Hey, don't be a hater, Tamper-- you're currency is owning ours, atm. Anyway, what issue of the "Great Levitz era" (v2 #284-313, Tales of #314-25 and v3 #1-63) am I on? (If a guess is wrong, I'll say earlier or later.)
