I have always said I wanted to read classics such as Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, but have never got around to it Lad Boy. So no, that's not it. Quis: I read Rama over 15 years ago when I was a huge Clarke fan. Cali: Ditto with reading Tolkien about 20 years ago. Shan: Green Mars is the middle book of the Mars trilogy, I finished it even before the book was released in the US, thanks to an advance copy from the UK. I finished reading 40 signs of rain 2 years ago, bought the next book in the trilogy (whatever it's called) but haven't got around to begin reading that yet. So no, not Green Mars. Stealth: The WSJ is a really boring newspaper. I'd rather read the Chicago Tribune or the NY Times over the WSJ any day. So since we are on a new page: Originally posted by Novelty: I'm currently trying to finish reading this book. What book am I reading?

Quis, it would have been interesting to read about his preparing as an astronaut mission thing, but not so much the I dated a reality star bit. I don't even have the book though, and have no plan to read it really. Sorry Cali, not a Potter fan. I've never even read the first book of the series, let alone the 7th. Oh and Harry dies!

KK: I have only got as far as the 2nd book of A Game of Thrones. That's the other book I'm "in the middle of" because it's so boring after they killed the father of the kids in book 1. Feast for Crows is the 4th book. And I'm not a huge fan of Bill anyways, so it's not that as well. IB, if you meant Stephen King's stuff, well, I generally avoid reading horror because I find a novel to usually be worse than, say a live action movie or tv series. Quis, I actually finished the copy of Nat Geo a few hours before I posted this question, so that's not it either. Cali: It's sad, but I haven't read the fully 7 issues of IC or the trade. The thing is, I already know what happens at the end. Still, it would be good to actually read it sometime in the near future, if only because I like Doc Midnite's scenes. So... we are left weith Originally posted by Novelty: <strike>A) Return of the King, JRR Tolkien B) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, JK Rowling C) Green Mars, Kim Stanley Robinson D) A Feast for Crows, George RR Martin</strike> [b]E) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl F) Forest Mage, Robin Hobb <strike>G) July's copy of National Geographic</strike> H) Lord of Choas, Robert Jordan <strike>I) Rama, Arthur C Clarke</strike> J) Prince Caspian, CS Lewis <strike>K) Identity Crisis Trade Paperback, DC Comics L) Blaze, Stephen King M) Out of Sync, Lance Bass N) My Life, William J Clinton</strike> O) Encyclopeadia Britainnica, Macropedia, Volume 2 <strike>P) To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee</strike> Q) This week's TIME magazine <strike>R) Not a book, but today's Wall Street Journal</strike> S) The CD booklet from the Continuum CD, John Mayer T) Book? Well, at least we also know that T) can't be the right answer H) Lord of Chaos - a book from a series I personally thoroughly enjoy, so I'll pick that. Admittedly, the action slowed down from Books 6-10, but by then I'd become so invested in the series that I wouldn't stop buying it.

Actually, never mind. I'm about to go out of town for 10 days-- I wouldn't want to hold up the game if I accidentally got the right answer. Good luck, guys!

Where ya goin' Cali? Any place interesting? I wondered what was your guess since you didn't actually get the right answer... someone else already did.
Prince Caspian is the next movie coming up from Disney (I think it's Disney) from one of CS Lewis' books. Read that at about the same time I read Lord of The Rings. So nope.
Quis: I know you probably think I'm way too nerdy after listing like more than 30 African countries when you asked for 3, but I don't go around reading encyclopeadia..s? (whatever is the plural of encyclopeadia... encyclopeadium?)... well, at least not a "proper" one like Britainnica.
Lad Boy: Have you read that book? That's Book 2 of the Soldier's Sons series. I'm still waiting for a paperback copy to hit the stores so that I can buy it. I'm not shelling out the extra money for a big hardcover version that I will probably read once and have problem storing.
Which means that IB got it right. I started out with Book 1 The Eye of the World on Jan 1st 2007 and am currently on book 6 or 11 (or 12, but the last book hasn't been published). The first 3 books or so were pretty much bad, but interesting, and I find that I like the series as I progress reading the books.
As with the others. Nope, don't have a John Mayer CD; I just iTunes his songs. I almost picked up a Times magazine at the newstand that week because I was early for an appointment, but decided not to. Oh and I read Charlie and the Chocolate factory after I read all 7 CS Lewis books and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
So, Mr. Brainiac, it's your question.

Thanks. Novelty, what didn't you like about the books? The writing style? The rest of the books have the same style, so... But the story does keep on getting interesting, although it really slows down in Books 8 and 10. However, it's worth it to keep reading because Books 9 and 11 have some pretty exciting endings.

This should be a fun question.
I took a personality test which measures which Greek god you're most like. Which two did I end up as?
a) Zeus b) Hades c) Poseidon d) Eros e) Ares f) Apollo g) Hephaestus h) Dionysius i) Hermes j) Heracles/Hercules k) Adonis l) Artemis - they snuck some goddesses in m) Athena - they snuck some goddesses in

Eros and Hades? Love and Hate The style was OK. I got the feeling that the Eye of the World was supposed to be one book, then when it got successful he wanted to turn it into a trilogy, which then got nerfed into this 12 book series thing. So the first 3 books had developments that seemed not very well thought out, but past that it seems pretty much okayish plot-wise.
