Since my daughter got to steer a Duck on the potomac, I'll answer:

1) Took a Duck tour and they both got to steer the vehicle in the Charles river.

Nope, we did not take a Duck Tour, so they didn't get a chance to steer the amphi-vehicle.

The question again for a new page.

I was away treating my great nephew & great niece to a little vacation.

What did we do in Boston on Thursday July 5th?

<strike>1) Took a Duck tour and they both got to steer the vehicle in the Charles river.</strike>

<strike>2) Visited the New England Aquarium. "I can walk like a penguin!"</strike>

3) Went through the Tomb at 5WITS. And avoided the pharoh's curse.

4) Went to the beach and we frolicked in the waves.

5) Toured Paul Revere's house and they were throughly bored.

6) Went to the Cheers bar and had a few brewskis (root beer for the kids)

<strike>7) Had a ride on the Swan Boats and feed the ducks</strike>

8) Looked for unused fireworks on the Esplanade

I remember when I lived in Boston, everyone who visited from out of town just had to see the Bull and Finch Pub and, upon seeing it, they would always say "You mean this is it?". A similar reaction can be obtained by taking a person to see Plymouth Rock, or, here in Texas, to the Alamo.

Well, it looks like Caliente changed her answer and so got two bites of the apple wink

Friday we went to the beach and frolicked in the waves.

Didn't go to the Paul Revere House

We didn't look for unexploded fireworks or go into the Cheers bar for some brewskis. What kind of an uncle do you think I am?

The next person should get the right answer. Unless they make up one of their own.

(You know, I'm from Boston originally and I don't even know what that means)! wink

It is new. It is near Fenway park. It is like a haunted house (with an Egyptian theme) but as you go through it, your group has to solve various puzzles to continue on. One such puzzle was to find the "stones" that made a sound and then play the tune the Pharoh played.

You wouldn't think so, my living in Houston and all, but on Christmas Eve 2004, we had a freak snowstorm and my friends and I had a snowball fight. PolarBoy

While I mostly consider myself happily single at this point and don't really have that much interest in dating at the moment, it's only been three years since my last date. smile

No and no.

I bought my condo in 2004.

I bought a new 2007 Toyota Yaris sedan in February.

This leaves us with my not having done one of these things in the last five years:
<strike>1. Purchased my first home.</strike>
<strike>2. Purchased my first new car.</strike>
3. Purchased my first laptop computer.
4. Adopted a dog.
<strike>5. Had a date.</strike>
<strike>6. Had a snowball fight.</strike>
7. Attended a professional conference.
8. Visited another country.

I'll go with 9. Worn a wool scarf

Nothing compared to places like Boston, of course, but we do get some cold weather in Houston on occasion. On cold, windy days in the winter I often do wear a wool scarf.

OK, a New Day and I'll go with my other choice.

8. Visited another country

And that is correct by a little over one month. I visited France in May and June of 2002, making it just over five years ago.

For the record:
*I bought my laptop in 2004.
*I adopted Hyvvie in August 2005 (the same month I joined Legion World).
*It's been a while since I've been to a conference, the last being the American Library Association's Midwinter Meeting in 2003.
*I've held several babies, most recently my nephew David in May.

Quis?

When I was younger, I wanted the super-powers of five different superheroes. Which of these superheroes is not one of the five:

1) Green Lantern
2) Flash
3) Red Tornado
4) Aquaman
5) Atom
6) Elongated Man

I'm sure shrinking must be something that you would fear most!
