Not quite so much a Legion referance but more of a comics in general. Does anyone know what term writers use for the boxed text in comics? I'm not speaking of the character dialogue but rather the out of character information the writer provides. I'm guessing comic producers have term for it.

I think they're just called captions.

Long time legion fan with a question.
Pre-Crisis Phantom girl said her belt was a gift from her mother, and it helped her get back to Bzgtl (sp?) but I can't find the reference. A picture of the scene would be great too.

I can't get at it right now, but that sounds like it was from the last issue of the Reflecto arc. Would have been around LSH v2 #280 or thereabouts.

Not only is it alright, but it is very nice of you to do so. As you can see Matthew had a general idea of what issue (albeit only off by one issue) You merely pinpointed the issue.

Thanks to everyone who answered about what is worth collecting. I was actually looking for something to collect in the downtime between Legion versions. I know I have at least half of Vol. 4, I just quit somewhere along the way.

Hello everyone!

I need a quick reference on the Superboy issue where Ultra Boy first appeared.

I have it in my Legion Archive #1, but it doesn't show the cover, nor does it list the Issue # of Superboy or the Issue Date (month/year). Archive #1 is unfortunate in that it doesn't list the original release issues and dates like the following archives do!

If anybody has that handy, I'd appreciate the help!

Legion Archives #2 contained a sticker with the list of issue numbers, etc. for Archives #1.

Actually, my Legion Archive #1 is complete - it seems they corrected it at least by the fourth printing.

Hmmm...maybe I should track down a newer copy. My original is getting worn out anyway.

hey quick question, i'm working on a Persuader pic and i breifly remember in the baxter Legion series he and the Empress had reformed the Fatal 5 with Mentalla,Flare and Caresse, and correct me if i'm wrong but on one page it looked like the he and the Empress might've been involved. i'm thinking of drawing that pic with the two but i just wanted to know for the sake of it if those two were lovers.

I believe he was in love with her but it was unrequited, she had some affection for him as a trusted subordinate, but never saw him as worthy of romance. I don't think it was ever stated explicitly, merely that Levitz meant to subtly give off that vibe (as he clearly did).

Sydne Ardeen is the name of 3boot Imra's mom as well.

In the pre-crisis, she had an aunt named Imra.
