Not even close.
This was a very long-running program. It went off the air in 1984.

It is indeed a theme song use by the long-running soap opera The Edge of Night in the '70s and '80s. Here is a montage of clips from the show with the original version of the sung version of this theme. Here is the original version over the closing credits, though not the entire song. This clip shows a remix of the theme used with closing credits. The preceding scene also shows Lori Loughlin's first appearance on the show, which was her first major role. And here is a montage of the various opening themes, none of which used the lyrics. The last several versions are instrumental versions of the same piece, though the original theme, used in the first two clips, is probably better remembered. Take it, Lardy!

There's a time for love And a time for livin' So take a chance and face the wind. An open road And a road that's hidden. A brand new life around the bend.

Yep. Hate that show and how the song's presented, but the lyrics are kinda okay.

OK here is more of the lyrics that immediately follow the above lyrics
Like a beautiful child Growing up, free and wild. Full of hopes and full of fears, Full of laughter, full of tears, Full of dreams to last a year In Seattle.
For a hint, this theme song was sung by one of the stars of the show.

I also thought it might be secret lyrics to Frasier, but after that, I could only think of one show in Seattle.
Anyway, here's the next:
Space men with a mission You must make a very big decision

It's About Time? Update: I looked that show up and it's not it, but it does have a delightful theme song.
