XS, too, I believe.

It's not intrinsic to the ongonig storyline, but it does add some background for each, and also shows Shvaugn's shift from reluctant liaison to Legion supporter.

Thanks. While we're on the subject, what about Legionnaires Annual #2?

that was the culmination of the White Triangle story... a must-read for that era. (and a decent story, as I recall)

The following issue (LSH, I believe... the cover shows an unhappy Rokk in front of statues of Kid Q 1 and others as I recall) follows immediately on the "surprise" ending of the annual, and a couple new plotlines diverge from that issue and the annual both.

Hmp. Thanks. I suddenly find myself in time-sensitive need of all the issues of the White Triangle story, and I'm missing those annuals as well as a few others. I wonder if the comic shops of Greater Toronto can help me...

I think they only appear (to be slaughtered) in the first 5 pages of AUTHORITY #27. Miller says they are thirty super-human teenagers from the 30th Century.

Here's the MileHighComics.com scans of the first 3 pages -

(I need to buy this issue myself...I keep forgetting to look for it.)

I mentioned upthread that I was missing some issues from the White Triangle arc. Can anyone point me at any kind of online resource where I can read more about what happened? No detail too small. Thanks in advance.

The Legion Help File has summaries of all Legion issues through Legion Lost, that should help.

what i didnt like about the JLA-JSA-LSH (the orignal) saga was that the legion got treated by such disrespect by the writers...

Rokk - Magno-ball champion
Garth - Farmer, also a pilot? (Did he ever bulls-eye womprats in his T-16?)
Imra - ?

She was supposed to join the Science Police and was considered a gifted telepath by Titanian standards.

I know this might be more of an RPG question, since the most likely answer source is the DC Heroes RPG. But how strong is inertron as compared to promethium, if that was ever established? I believe that there was a material strength statistic for inertron given in the first LSH module, but I don't have the stats for promethium in that game system (or the main rule book to interpret the numbers given).

Seth, I have all the RPG books but not with me. I only keep my Legion ones on my laptop. If no one else has it by then I'll look it up tonight at home.

Body is the ability to withstand physical damage. The benchmark set for Body (character-wise) at the highest is 28-30+. Which is described as "The body can resist a direct hit from a 100 megaton nuclear weapon." The only characters (in the 3rd edition) capable of withstanding that are the Monitor and Anti-Monitor.

#59 or #159? I don't think I have #59. That would be, what, from 1995?

#059, from either the last week of April or the first week of May 1996. I know it was written by Matt Brady and that it was focused on the postboot Legion, but not really anything about what the article itself said or how long it was.

And... wait... YOU don't have it? I'm genuinely shocked smile

Well, I was either off the Legion then or barely getting back in.

Was that the issue that had the preview of the Animated Superman show?

Reboot, I recall the article though no longer have it on-hand to scan. It was mostly a casual recap of postboot history: the founding up until Violet splitting the teams. I think there might have been a paragraph explaining the reason for the reboot and then general hype at the end for the 20th century adventures. Can't recall if there were any extras or sidebars. Hopefully that helped somehow (and if you already knew what it was about then ... nevermind! What's up?)

There was also a Casting Call a few months later. I recall a few of the choices, mostly 90210 & Party of Five actors. It even had casting jobs for "new Legionnaires" Magno and Sandy Infenro.

Not so much "need a reference" as "curious about something" - was preboot Laurel Gand ever referred to as [having been] "Valorgirl" [pre-5YG] in the comics, or is that a fan coinage to go with the costume?

I'm pretty sure she wasn't, beacuse I remember thinking it odd that the young Laurel never received a code name. The closest she got was Tiger Rose, which came later.
