Scary thing is, Jorge isn't joking. If you think the threads speculating on the solict info are long, wait till you see what we can do with an actual issue. Especially if it's 40 pages long.

Well there's only 30 pages a month of actual story...but that will no doubt be enough!

Barry, three pages a month would be enough for us to go for pages talking about it. I do hope you realise that every single little piece of the art will be picked apart for detail. Every single facial expression or bit of body language will mean something to us, we'll work out what everything means even if it doesn't mean anything. He he. Not that we're picky or anything.

Barry, just wondering about the decision to go with a backup story in this issue. I wasn't expecting to see one so soon. Not that I think you'll give anything away (I know better than that), but is it related to the lead story or completely independent? Color me curious.

Well, in Argentina, I was the only regular reader of the Legion in my comic shop. Now, thanks to the special and all the buzz, many are ordering copies of issue #1. In the shop they increce the price of old spanish editions of L.E.G.I.O.N., Legionarios and, off course, Legión de SuperHeroes. It´s amazing all of this if we have in mind that the book hasn´t his first realese.

Hi Lobo Gris - That's great news! Hi Tromium - Well we always had in mind the idea of using occassional back-up stories to feature individual legionnaires - so they were always in the plans...and by my 'skipping' an issue which featured a back-up, it meant I would miss out on doing less pages of artwork as far as the main story went. With a bit of luck we've learnt enough about my speed (or lack therof ) to be able to avoid my missing another issue for a long time! I'm actually very excited to see Dave and Leonard's artwork...but a bit 'grumpy' about missing any pages of these characters myself

Barry,
Thanks for keeping us informed. It moderates the worst expressions of solicit-itis among the faithful here.
...but you don't have a moment where you're sitting there staring at a table full of twenty-five characters with little name signs that say, "Hi, my superpower is confusing you!"

When do we start the thread to discuss the solicitation discussion?
Maybe a Calling the Roll thread for the solict discussion could keep Mystery Lad in fighting trim til the book actually comes out.

Actually I like the fact that its IK who is shown as making a “fateful decision”. In this version we know he is only a youngster, he has only just joined an organization which has at least one years more experience than him, and some at least seem significantly older that he is.
So we have a young, inexperienced new boy in his first few days on the job, probably out to impress, and who gets it wrong.
In the context of THIS legion I think this approach makes sense. Hopefully we will see the ramifications of this decision and the growth that IK can make as he, like everyone growing up, learns from his mistakes. Hopefully the legion will be shown nurturing talent and correcting mistakes and not just blame and shame.

Let me look...hmmm...of the 20 books I bought today only 5 had one. I think I remember Marvel saying that they wouldn't be using the CCA anymore. Wait, should I have posted this here or started a new thread...

Hey Barry,
I'm glad to hear that you've accommodated the process to your speed. A lot of great pencillers like Kerry Gammil Did great work but could never work on a full time book. I'm an artist, so I know how deadlines suck. I bet you're spending way longer because all of the 31st Century architecture and technology too. Best of luck, I await #1. I really hope DC keeps marketing this, because it's about time the Legion got a broad following.

Waitaminute--is candlelight Shadowplay in Candlelight from the old DC boards? If so, how have I missed you around here?
Yeah yeah, off topic, feel free to shake your fingers at me.

Argh, how can they already be soliciting #4 and we haven't even got our claws, paws, and hands on #1 yet!?! Oh the humanity! I have half a mind to hop into a time bubble and get #1 two weeks from now!
