Yeah, he could turn his body into stone, but did his name imply a double entendre? I mean what did the Subs do in that cave all the time when they were just waiting there months on end for one of their rare opportunities to save the day?

Dude...this is, like....deep.

Night Girl was probably sleeping all day.

And what exactly was Chlorophyll Kid growing that he didn't want the SPs to find?

Guys, guys, Chlor was the stoner, not Stone Boy. Let's face the facts:

(1) complete control of plants--instant bud.

(2) over the years putting on a few pounds--sitting in the cave and having the munchies all day will do that for you.

(3) meanwhile, super-heroic Stone Boy is saving puppies, helping old sentients cross the space-way and getting offers to join the Legion. Nope, Stone Boy made Cosmic Boy look like Dev-Em in the square department.

However, there's not doubt that Fire Lad took part, only he was one of those 'all paranoid' crazy highs, and Color Kid, who loved to party, never said no to a doobie.

Dude, it's never the obvious ones, man!

Stone Boy may have seemed like a square, but he had to get, like, totally mellow to turn into rock for hours on end.

He totally had to toke to, like, be the statue...y'know?

WHOA!

Well, Stone Boy was an avid drinker, and in his later years, certainly never hesitated to kill a filthy disk-licking Dominator. But smoking a fat doobie? Not his scene.

So, where does that leave Polar Boy? Just why was he wearing a fur costume all year round? To hide the shakes, maybe? shudder

You know, that could be where the term "stoned" came from - from the Subs on one of their missions in the 20th century. This is surely a yet-unpublished Secret Files story.

When Stone Boy impacts with a hollow object, it creates a noise: "BONG."

I actually read this as "Was STAR Boy a stoner", and was thinking of times with either Preboot or Reboot Thom could have been one...

It would explain Thom's extravagantly full beard...
