J'Onn J'Onzz, The Manhunter from Mars? I know this has been brought up before. I think back around the time when Valor became M'Onel, this was discussed on racdl on usenet. Part of the thinking here was that Brande suggested the name "M'Onel", which is a Martian word for, IIRC, wanderer. It was said that he knew Martian because he was a Martian. Of course, he could easily be a White Martian rather than J'Onn J'Onzz.

Okay, now didn't Supergirl's horse have telepathy powers?
And wasn't Supergirl's horse named "Comet."
Hence, R.J. Brande is a horse.

Ah, but he can't be Comet, because in the most recent Supergirl series, we've encountered Comet, who is the male anthropomorphicically horse-like superhero identity of the female human Andy (Andrea) Jones. Who merged with a male superheroey thing Andrew Jones... AND Comet is the Earthborn Angel of Love. Supergirl wasn't real keen that a) this horse guy and b) this random chick both seems to be crushing on her. :rolleyes: ....granted, Comet does have white hair. And who knows how long an Earthborn Angel will live... or what plastic surgery can accomplish by the 30th century? Maybe Brande IS Comet after all, forming the Legion to promote love and understanding throughout the universe!

I wanna echo Bicycle Repair Man's idea that RJ is Captain Comet. Think about it...the old school DC sci-fi connection is there.
It just fits.
