Jonathan? Wasn't he one of two cast members from the movie to make it to the series? Or was that the pilot?

Quis got it. Seth Green was in the film as a geeky vamp but got cut from the final edit. I guess the clue wasn't much of a clue really was it? heh.

Hmm a Buffy Question.
OK this is not strictly a Buffy question, but you can figure it out.
When Anthony Stewart Head appeared on "So Graham Norton", Graham showed a magazine cover featuring Giles. What was the main focus of this magazine?

Librarians. It was the Library Association of America or something like that wasn't it? They were commending the creators of Buffy for having a really positive character who was a librarian.

Ok, simpler one this time (but with a possibly tricky sub-question). In 'Hush' what music does Giles play in the lecture theatre when he's 'telling' everyone about the Gentlemen? And for a bonus point can anyone say why this is actually a reference to Anthony Head as well?

Yup, you're right. Do you know specifically what the music is though? Your question though Matt because even though really I was looking for the title of the music you actually got the other part of the question spot on. Anthony Head was in the first episode by the way and was supposed to be a main character because he filmed it after the first series of Buffy finished and they weren't sure it was going to be picked up. When it was though Head left Jonothan Creek.

Hmmm, it was founded by Richard Wilkins I(III), and the mayor looks 55, so...somewhere around 1860's? And the motto..."Come for the food;stay for the dismemberment"?

Ooh, you've got me there. I know in The Harvest it's implied the Spanish settled in Sunnydale (or Bocca del Inferno) some time in the 1700s. Big Bad is right though that the Mayor also says that he founded the town 100 years ago which would make it some time in the late to mid 1800s. I have no idea what the town motto is but I can vaguely recall seeing it somewhere, Damn, I'm gonna have to go look that up now.

Oooh, I have that too. Only of course it's at home at the moment so I'll have to check it then and you just know someone will beat me to it in the meantime.

There isn't a date on the welcome sign. I was going by the date given in the Buffy timeline. Here's a pic of the sign:

In Graduation Day, Part 2, it was established that in May of 1899 the town of Sunnydale was official founded by the mayor Richard Wilkins.

For an excellent Buffy chronology, visit Buffy the Vampire Slayer Series Chronology . The link will take you to the dates for before the show starts then lead you through the series season by season.
