I'm bored and have been surfing the BBC Buffy site and it got me wanting to do some Buffy trvia. I know I'm not the only Buffy geek hereabouts so this could work.
Righty-ho then, I'll start. Could either be a dead easy question or a hard one, hard to say really, but:
Name the six characters (not actors) who have appeared in all seven seasons of Buffy. For a bonus point name at two who have appeared in six out of the seven series. (there might be more than two and I can certainly think of two more who have been in five series, but I'd need to double check)

i can only think of 4 !!! can the character have only appeared in one episode during a season to count ???
if so !!! i pick Angel, also ....
am i right ???
Matthew.

[You ARE sure there is a sixth? I'm sure about the first five, but I don't think there is a sixth] Spike (not S1) and Angel (not S6) have appeared in 6 out of seven.

Actually SoM is right. I specified the character and while Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles and Joyce have all been played by the same person Amy was a rat in seasons four and five but still appeared. OK so it was a trick question. And Spike, Angel and Jonothan are the ones who have appeared in six out of the seven seasons. Anya has been in five seasons and I think possibly Dru and Harmony have as well. You're up SoM.

I thought Jonothan was in the seven seasons. Which one did he miss?

Season five. He had cameos in 1, 2 and 3, Superstar in 4 and was part of the Troika (natch) in 6 and 7. I did think he was in all seven but he's not got any appearances in 5.

I remember seeing him in the background in the 1st episode. I think he is among the kids who are treated like sh*t by Cordy.

Inca Mummy Girl was episode 16, which was season 2.
The same episode was also the debut of Oz

he was actually in Welcome To The Hellmouth as well but although he was credited at the end he wasn't credited as Jonothan, just 'boy' or something. Danny Strong actually auditioned for the part of Xander but didn't get it. Could have been a very different series.

The same episode was also the debut of Oz Okay, it was that early. Weird that the list I have of the season show this one as episode 4 of season 5. Must be a misprint. Guess I need to finish buying the DVD sets.

I just looked up Danny Strong's filmography on IMDB and he's actually credited with appearing in season 1, the 'unaired' pilot. His next appearance is Inca Mummy Girl (listed on IMDB as episode 4 of season 2). So he is listed as being in seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. No appearances in 5. My list claiming to be season 5 is apparantly in actuality season 2 shows. I'll go and burn that list now.

Gosh, only one question asked at a time when posting is usually quiet and it's already on two pages. Do you think maybe there's such a thing as being too Buffy-geeky? Nah, silly thought, forget I mentioned it.

Actually, human-Amy DID appear in S4 (for about 10s in Something else else Blue ). I wasn't sure if we'd seen the rat at all in 5 tho. Hmmm... What gender was Faith's original watcher?

I believe that Faith's first watcher was male. We never saw him though as he had been killed already. There was that fake female watcher who showed up later.

Only two choices and you pick the wrong one From Faith, Hope & Trick: Buffy: Like you took care of your Watcher?
This stops Faith cold. She lets go of the doorknob and looks down sadly. A moment later she turns to Buffy.
Buffy: He killed her, didn't he?
Faith: (angrily) They don't have a word for what he did to her. New Question: Sticking with Faith-related matters, what magazine did Buffy quip Faith would never be on the cover of?

BUFFY: (embarrassed) So very shallow.
WILLOW: Competition is natural and healthy. Plus, you'll definitely ace her on the psych tests. Just don't mark the box that says, 'I sometimes like to kill people.'
BUFFY: I know Faith's not gonna be on the cover of Sanity Fair, but... she had it rough. Different circumstances, that could be me.
