No. In fact, isn't Thomas More famous for not changing his religion?

As a hint, I'll say that, contrary to first glance, this Triad has nothing to do with religion, and was directly inspired by the previous round.

I just read somewhere that Dean Cain once played Joseph Smith. I can't back this up, but...

...they were all played by people who also played superheroes? (Dean Cain, Will Smith, and ??)

I just looked up that Dean Cain thing, and apparently, in the same film, Terence Stamp plays Brigham Young. Superman and Zod in the story of the Mormons... might just have to check that out.

But, although you're on the right track, that's not quite it. They were all portrayed by actors who also portrayed... something... but not superheroes. Additionally, only one of the actors you list is correct. (hint... not Cain. wink )

The list again is:

Joseph Smith
Sir Thomas More
Muhammad Ali

Another hint, the film from which the first part of the Triad is taken is called "Brigham Young".

That's it. Even more specifically, each played the last man on Earth in a film based on the book, "I Am Legend."

Vincent Price, who played Joseph Smith in "Brigham Young" was in the first adaptation called, "The Last Man on Earth." Charlton Heston, Thomas More in one adaptation of "A Man for All Seasons" was the lead in the 70's adaptation, "The Omega Man," and Will Smith, Ali in "Ali" played the role in a film which finally used the actual title, "I Am Legend".

Next round to Kent.

Novels by authors of mixed Asian/English ancestry: Kazuo Ishiguro, Leslie Charteris, and Winnifred Eaton?

Really have no idea. I just did a little reading on Kazuo Ishiguro (the writer of the only novel I've read on this list), so I'll guess...their first novels not to take place in Japan?

nope. Please cure yourself of the idea of 'firsts;' that seems to be your biggest obstacle.

It was the debut of the main character which the author used in other books?

I'm stuck here - with the closest guess being debut novels, but the answer not having anything to do with "firsts", unless it's just their most popular or bestselling novels?

Since you seem to warning away from "first" and I know that "Remains of the Day" was Ishiguro's third novel... is it that simple? Are they all the third?

Exxy has it!

for all 3 British-Asian authors, it was their third published novels.
