Shirley Jones did in The Music Man, but I'm not aware of the other two doing so.

Is it that they've all been in Oklahoma!? I know Jones and Duke have, but I'm not sure about Leachman.

I'm very good. Been busy with real life recently so I've not been around much, but I look in Legion World pretty much every day.

It's tough to give a hint without giving it away. I'll try.
The commonality happened between 1960 and 1971.

Still stumped. Patty Duke and Shirley Jones both had tv series with their own names in the title but Cloris Leachman didn't (although she was tghe title character in Phyliss)

Okay. They didn't get this at breakfast with these hints, so let's try it: It has to do with their movie roles.

My goodness. I thought this one would be pretty easy.
Three more who would qualify are Hattie McDaniel, Olympia Dukakis and Tilda Swinton.

Nope. It pertains to their movie roles, but isn't what the roles themselves that have something in common.

Dukakis, Hunt, Swinton and Goldberg makes me think that it's that they've all played men of one kind or another (either actually being men, women pretending to be men or trasngender women who used to be men).

No. Again, it's not something to do with characters they've played. It has to do that they were in movies.
Celeste Holm, Dianne Wiest and Judi Dench also qualify.

That's not it. Perhaps it should be pointed out that though all these ladies are famous actresses, most of them are not leading stars.

Oh jeez, it's just that they're Best Supporting Actress Oscar winners isn't it? There's me looking for some complex, twisty link between them all and it's just a nice straightforward one. D'oh.

Yay, Bevis! That's it! Thanks for the additional clues, Kent. I had told Kent (and Seymour) the answer over breakfast one day in San Diego. Your go, Bevis.

All had someone else dub their singing (I know Marni Nixon dubbed Deborah Kerr)?

They were all cast by Hollywood in roles that someone else originated on Broadway. IIRC: Gertrude Lawrence in The King & I Chita Rivera in West Side Story Carol Channing in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
"Gee, Brainy, what do you want to do tonight?" "The same thing we do every night, Bouncing Boy: try to take over the United Planets!!" They're B.B. and The Brain ...
