EDE got it right. (I know they don't *always* wear jackets, but their most famous costumes all feature jackets.)

All moved (along with Superboy) from More Fun to Adventure where Mort Weisinger kept them alive for years longer than most other Golden Age super-hero features (other than the Big Three)?
The only character in all of literature who has been described as "badnass" while using the phrase "vile miscreant."

Close. There's two parts to the answer, one part of which has to do with why they were kept alive/moved from More Fun to Adventure, and the other part has to do with other Golden Age characters.

They were all created by Mort Weisinger and their design was influenced by pre-existing characters.
Aquaman = Timely's Sub-Mariner.
Johnny Quick = All-American's Flash.
Green Arrow = Fawcett's Golden Arrow.
