Both Rogers and Stewart were born in Pennsylvania (although Stewart was born in Indiana, PA) so that's not what I'm looking for.

Did they all star in something beginning with "Mister"? Fred Rogers, of course, was the eponymous star of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood", and Jimmy Stewart was the star of "Mister Smith Goes to Washington." Can't think of how David Letterman might fit that, but if I'm right, you'll tell me...

Nope. What ties these three together is something personal that they share.

That would be it. Mr. Rogers was even an ordained Presbyterian minister.

Over to you Chaim.

True, HWW, but there's something more specific about these islands that they share beyond merely being in the Pacific Ocean. They (and others) were all once part of a single political entity. The person who names that entity has answered the question correctly.

He Who Wanders is correct. Quislet, one of those three (Chuuk) is in Micronesia, the others are not. But Micronesia, as well as Palau, the Marshall Islands (to which the third of my Triad belongs) and the Northern Mariana Islands were all once part of the U.S. Trust Territories of the Pacific.

Hmm...they all use fake names that sound funny? Oh, except for Robert Plant. How about they all have the same middle initial...oh, except for Ringo Starr. They all featured in bands that spelled their names oddly? Oops, except for Harpo. Sorry, I have no idea.

Good guesses ... but wrong.

HINT: Jimi Hendrix could also fit on this list.

Time for another clue?

On Hendrix, the link is more noticeable than the rest.
