Not Dazzler, nor any character that had a series in their own name.

I'm not sure why this character popped into my head since I've never actually read the book, but is it that Princess Diana-replacement character that Peter Milligan used in his X-Statix book? Henrietta something I think.

One of the "Scare Tactics" bunch, maybe? I'll guess Scream Queen.

Nope.
I don't even know the Scare Tactics gang by name.

It is from a DC book from the same era, and there is a vampire in the cast.

Never read X-Statix.

Not a female character.

I'm thinking Preacher for some reason but I don't know any of the characters.

I think there was someone named

Cassidy

in it, so them?

Right series, wrong character. Although i could certainly imagine Cassidy getting excommunicated.

my answer to Lardy's question: Journey into Mystery #94 when Jane Foster mistakenly believes Don Blake to be gay.

My answer to Lardy's question: Phil Foglio, because Sergio Aragones wouldn't do that for a dollar.

So...what was the Starcore-Eagle-One? What was its fate and what 'new' character emerged from it?

That's the best you could do? For that long wait?

But seriously... since I figured it was nothing I'd ever read, I googled it, only to find it was something I used to know. In any case, I disqualify myself from answering.

Hmmm....my own Google search shows that there may be some confusion in the question as stated. I'm gonna edit the original question slightly for clarification.

And, yes, please guess from memory or hard copy research (i.e. the books, damnit!), please!

This is all unknown to me so I will randomly guess -

It was a spaceship.
It blew up.
It gave us Magnus, Robot-Fighter.

Okay, small hint: This is not an obscure story/character at all. I chose to focus on something less well-known about it to make it seem hard!

Another guess -

It was a life pod.
It crashed on Earth.
Supergirl emerged from it.
