The Miracle Machine is one item I was thinking of, but I don't recall any indication that he was unable to transmute the Concentrator.

There are two other items that could fit this description. Interestingly enough, one of those was responsible for the destruction of the other.

Hmm...forgot about those, but you're right, so I'll give it to you.

The ones I had in mind specifically (in addition to the Miracle Machine) were the Emerald Eye and Quislet's ship.

Bob Kane, Mr. Swan and Weisinger Plaza? What makes you think that?

Your turn, Chaim!

Actually, if the archaeologist you're referring to is the guy I think you mean, that was "Bob Finger" - an amalgam of Bob Kane and Bill Finger.

How did Pulsar Stargrave end up on Bismoll?

Keith Giffen put him there.

I haven't read the story since it came out, but it was from the Subs special, as I recall. I hope that prompts someone else's memory and gets this question revved up again.

The creators were barhopping while plotting and needed an antagontist so they pulled Stargrave out of a drunken hat?

This has gone on long enough. Kent, you get the next question.

The correct answer is that Bismoll's new planetary computer system (which looked like a bunch of old-style Computos) called him there to lead them in conquering the planet.

Doggone it CMK! I dug out that issue today and was reading it so I could answer the question! Grrr....

To top it off, I have no idea what the answer to Kent's question is...

IIRC, Linda Danvers worked on a soap operafor a while...Yera and Ferro Lad's mother were actors, but I don't know about Ultra Boy. Anyway, that's my guess:

They were all actors.
