You're so close lance!! It was a "SLOW SCHOOL" sign that had a triangular concrete base. The base acted as a ramp, which tipped one truck out of the way of a head-on collision with another truck.

I'll give a hint...this story did not take place in the DC Comics Presents issue with the Legion of Subs. It took place in an issue of Ambush Bug.

What one Legionnaire has been given two completely different and separate portrayals during the Waid/Kitson run of the comic book? By which I mean, he or she appears once in one issue, portrayed one way, and then reappears some issues later, portrayed in a way so completely and radically different that the two renditions pretty much have only the name in common.
