Because Superboy hadn't walked her home (she was really Duo Damsel, back in the 20th Century hiding from Mordru, and while Mon-El and Shadow Lass were sparking with each other, poor silly Clark was blind to her charms and made her go home via his secret tunnel. Silly boy, but good for Chuck, I guess.)

I haven't read that story, so it's not what I'm looking for. Besides, the question is when did they see *future* versions of themselves.
However, the next hint is that at almost the same time, the future versions of the same five Legionairres saw an image of their past selves...
If nobody gets this in a day or so, I've got a third, very big, hint.

I want to say it is from the post-boot Legion series where the Legion of many era battle the Time Trapper, but Leviathan/Gim was dead in the post-boot, so he wasn't there...
