8) The Adventures of Tintin: Tintin in America
Exnihil: Novelty, if he had a power, the obvious one to me would of course be "The Power of Grayskull"

I got/read Tintin in America along with a bunch of other Tintin stories years ago.
Rockhopper Lad is correct. I got the oversize Popeye book which has the story of Plunder Island from the comic strips.

Okay, this year for my fortieth birthday party, I rented a room at a karaoke bar. I had a lot of fun. Which song did I not sing?
1. "Amazing Grace" 2. "American Pie" 3. "The Boxer" 4. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" 5. "I Could Have Danced All Night" 6. "I Got You, Babe" (a duet with a gal pal) 7. "The Sound of Silence" 8. "Take Me Home, Country Roads" 9. "Yesterday" 10. Just kidding! I didn't do this at all!

9. "Yesterday" (seems like it would be a little downbeat for a birthday bash)

And the winner is Ram Boy! I did not sing "Yesterday". Although it is one of my favorite Beatles songs, it didn't even occur to me to sing it. I actually just thought of it when I tried to think of a song that a person who would sing all those others might sing! As you can tell, I love Simon and Garfunkel and sang several of theirs. I love Don McLean also and "American Pie" is often the only of his songs available at karaoke. I had to do at least one show tune ("I Could Have Danced All Night") and one church song ("Amazing Grace" was about all they had) and, after four martinis, "Take Me Home, Country Roads" just seemed like a good idea. My buddy Sondee and I always sing "I Got You, Babe" when we do karaoke together. I also helped out my friend Tom with "There's No Business Like Show Business"--he didn't know the bridge. And now, Ram Boy!

j) The gold ring belonged to my father and yes, it's up there. e) The three small prints are: - sheep grazing in front of a white farm house. Can't make out the sig. - a small print that we bought from the artist (McLauchlin) while camping in Canada. - and the most meaningful, a print of Steve Walker's Requiem

Sorry, Novelty. They're three postcards from the early twentieth century with illustrations of Chicago landmarks. One, from 1911, has a message in which someone is trying to get their brother in Kalamazoo, MI to contact their ma who is "worried something awful". Hope he did.
