At least 5 Kryptonian level heroes got taken out in round 1

There were two ties that I missed when setting up the Round 1 extension: Brainstorm vs Animal Lad and Shikari vs. Insect Queen (Lonna). Both battles went to the PCM, with Lonna & Animal Lad anvancing.

Of the losers, 18 leave the game having garnered not one single vote:

1. QUISLET beats Mentalla by virtue of being too small and zippy and alien for her to control.

2. Can't remember what Command Kid or RAINBOW GIRL could do but the latter wins because rainbows are pretty.

3. Would've liked to see Catspaw win this one but fighting in a small, confined, completely metallic space is a match made in heaven for COSMIC BOY so he easily romps home with the victory.

4. No matter what form Chameleon takes there's always going to be a disease to hurt him so INFECTIOUS LASS is the winner here.

5. Whatever Hate-Face's power is I'm guessing it radiates from his face. So all APPARITION needs to do is turn intangible, let the rays pass through her and then sneak up and knock him out from behind.

6. Kid Quantum II may be able to slow down KARATE KID enough to get in a few knocks but I'm sure Val would've studied and mastered some slow martial arts on one of the many worlds he's visited and so take down Jazmin just when she thought victory was hers.

7. Wasn't Cera's power just a weak form of levitation? If so, while she's lifting GATES up he simply opens up a portal and drops her on her ass, just like she did to Live Wire when she first tried out for the Legion.

8. Violet has shown us all that she has no idea what she's doing with her powers anymore so INVISIBLE KID quickly and easily knocks out his teammate-murdering, powers-stealing teammate.

9. Am amazed that an old man with no real powers has lasted this long but I'm loving the visual of RJ BRANDE capturing Streaky in one of those little butterfly catching nets so it looks like his run of luck is going to continue.

10. Love Nara Minsork. Hate THUNDER. But the wisdom of Solomon has got to beat a second-rate telepath any day of the week.

11. Quantum Queen, like most people, totally underestimate the sheer power of the weather giving STORM BOY the edge he needs to win here.

12. Might have given this to Umbra back when she had the more simple and much more interesting darkness-casting powers but since DnA have turned her into just another boring blasty type its easy to get over my preference for her and give this round to DUPLICATE BOY, who's infinitely more powerful anyway.

13. Just as the hicks of Smallville are rallying to the aid of their future descendant Laurel, TYROC blows the robot to pieces and reminds everyone what a horrible cross-over Millennium really was.

14. As hard as Polar Boy tries his ice keeps melting on the harsh desert planet giving CELESTE ROCKFISH all the chances she needs to win.

15. LEVIATHAN has had *lots* of experience battling giant bugs and monsters and creepy-crawlies because that's *all he did* during the Adventure Comics years so he wins an easy victory over Insect Queen here.

16. Love XS. Hate KONO. But as Eric said, XS doesn't function well in space. KONO the unfortunate winner here.

17. Both are out of their depth on Rimbor but DREAMER is able to use a combination of her powers, her Khundian training and her ability to work the crowd into taking down Lightning Lad.

18. This would probably be the closest, toughest and most fun to watch match of the entire tournament as these are two tough customers with very similar and interesting powers. After a long, knock-down, drag-out fight at the cost of all sorts of bodily fluids I'll give this one to CHEMICAL KING for his superior Legion training.

19. Triad is just a girl x three. ATOM'X has atomic powers. He fries them all at the same time. And then high-tails it off that planet!

20. Unfortunately for these two they got caught up in the battle between Chemical King and Tomb that for some reason was also going on on Manna-5. During the course of it Tomb used his power to affect bodily functions to give them both a particularly nasty case of bad gas which, while being bad for all the specatators in the vicinity, was great for GAS GIRL who used the opportunity to send Tellus fleeing in terror back to his underwater home-world hoping he'd never have to smell anything EVER again.

21. INVISIBLE KID II uses that weird power he had for a while to teleport people to weird limbo lands and sends Esper Lass back to the the limbo land she's been in since the reboot began.

22. Gallop. Gallop. Gallop. "AAAARRGGHHH!" Trample. COMET leaves Brainiac 5 bruised and broken in his wake.

23. Not enough room here for Fortress Lad to do his stuff so SUPERGIRL is able to grab an easy win.

24. Hmmm. Tough one. There's not much for a telekinetic to utilise on Durla but I still can't see Thom being assured of an easy victory here. Still, STAR BOY beats Kinetix by virtue of being a bit tougher and more resilient on a hostile world.

25. Magic is probably the one thing that would give Nemesis Kid pause and WHITE WITCH is more than capable of using that to her advantage. One of the two guys to beat in this competition (along with Duplicate Boy) goes crashing out here.

That was fun!

1. QUISLET
- I think he'll be able to take Mentalla out before she can conrol him.

2. RAINBOW GIRL
- She'll probably blind Command Kid with her rainbow glare before he can cast an illusion on her.

3. COSMIC BOY
- Cos is more experienced, has a great environment to work with and can attack from a longer range.

4. INFECTIOUS LASS
- Drura doesn't even have to get close to Cham to infect him with something.

5. APPARITION
- We really don't know enough about how Hate-Face's powers work, so I'm betting Tinya will phase through the ground and take him out fast.

6. KID QUANTUM II
- All Jaz has to do is keep her distance and unleash a large quantum bubble in the general vicinity.

7. GATES
- Cera can only levitate things, and she doesn't have enough control over her powers to do much with that. I'm glad she made it this far, though.

8. VIOLET
- tough one to call, but Vi's powers are more versatile and she ain't no dimbulb either!

9. RJ BRANDE
- he'll just buy Streaky a nice little ball of yarn or something.

10. THUNDER
- Brainy was able to resist Nara Minsork easily, and I too am betting that Solomon's wisdom combined with Mercury's speed should give Thunder the edge.

11. QUANTUM QUEEN
- Storm Boy can start a storm, but I don't think he's ever been shown having that much control over it and he can't fully control the weather.

12. UMBRA
- The energies of the Titanet confuse Duplicate Boy, who isn't exactly the brightest bulb in the bunch, and Tasmia lets loose with her darkfield. When he mimics x-ray vision to be able to see, she comes up from behind and clobbers him. She's sneaky and smart enough to do that.

13. LAUREL KENT
- The location is good for her.

14. POLAR BOY
- I think Brek's home court advantage should give him something to work with, even agaisnt the Neon version of Celeste.

15. INSECT QUEEN
- If this battle were in a more open space I'd give it to Gim, but Manna-5 is an agricultural world. While Gim is looking for Lonna amongst the trees, she quickly sneaks up behind him and, taking the form of a poisonous spider or something, she puts him to sleepn with a single bite.

16. KONO
- much as I'd like to give the win to XS, she really doesn't work well in open space.

17. LIGHTNING LAD
- even if Nura foresees what Garth is about to do, electricity is too fast for her to do anything.

18. CHEMICAL KING
- more experience and wider range of powers.

19. TRIAD
- Atom'x is too cocky, and Lu takes advantage of that.

20. GAS GIRL
- she enters Tellus' little helmet and then turns into knockout gas.

21. ESPER LASS
- she's son ruthless that Jacques can't even get near her without getting his mind shut down

22. BRAINIAC 5
- Comet gets spooked by the Apokoliptian environment, and Brainy quickly cobbles up a red sun generator with all the tech lying around.

23. SUPERGIRL
- she lifs Fortress Lad up and sends him flying up through space.

24. KINETIX
- I'm a bit biased, but then we've seen Zoe shfit whole caves before. She quickly wraps Thom in rock and konks him out before he makes her too heavy to move.

25. WHITE WITCH
- all she has to do is cast a spell to rob Hart of his powers, and the battle's won.
