Supergirl was interested in Kyle and didn't want to be around him and Donna?

If this is right it's just because Lance's realm led me there. laugh

Of course, if I guessed wrong then I totally blame Lance's realm.

I also blame him for poor life-choices I've made in the past... laugh

Blame Lance's Realm then.

To clarify, I am talking about the original Teen Titans (Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, & Aqualad)

I really thought this would be an easy question.

No problem, Krypton Kid. I'll take the blame. Hey, maybe that could be my codename - Scapegoat Kid! Wonder what my powers are...?

Was afraid she would overpower the group? I really don't remember this story...

The reason is not story related.

Nope. But you are getting closer to the reason.

OK, I think I've sussed it. At the time of the formation of the Teen Titans Supergirl was still Superman's "secret weapon".

Hm, except I think that qualifies as "story related". Well, I'll put it out there anyway.

I thought of that as well, but then I realized Supergirl's "debut" was a couple of years before the Titans first came together.

OK, then I suppose TPTB didn't want to overexpose the Super franchise.

If you say so, Lance, but I couldn't help noticing that you are never around at the same time as Scapegoat Kid...Hmmmmm. Its a good thing I'm not the suspicious type, like my cousin Lana.

hmmm

Wild guess, but did Supergirl have her own book or was a regular solo feature in one at around that time?

You guys are getting close, but not quite right.

The Superman's secret weapon answer is story related.

The TPTB answer is fairly close.

I'll give it til tomorrow then flip over all the cards and reveal the answer. (obscure "What's My Line?" reference)

Does it have something to do with Weisinger's control of the character? Maybe that he was trying to mature her into an independent character, and sticking her in with the "teen sidekicks" group wouldn't be conducive to that?

That is the answer. I don't know if it was for the reason you stated. Back in the days all the Superman titles were under the editorial control of Mort Weisinger. Teen Titans was under the control of a different editor who didn't have the "rights" to use Supergirl.

How different both the Titans and Supergirl would have been.

Your question Eryk

Jeepers! I'm really sucking at keeping up with these trivia threads!

Not the Mad Mod, to my knowledge!

Think of a Titan villain who employed high school students, or at least former high school students...

Wow. I was so convinced that Coby was right that I didn't double-check. But, now, thanks to " An EDE Retro Review: Silver Age Titans Archives and Showcase! ", I know the answer!

Cool. Dig Ding Dong Daddy Dowg's un-roundedness, Cats and Wonderchicks!

Hm. Once you start talking like that its hard to stop.

Over the years, how many Titans have sported wings?

I can only think of 4:

Golden Eagle
Bumble Bee
Azrael
& Beast Boy
...unless you count the wings on Wally & Bart's costumes laugh
