Ibby has it!
It was actually Poul Anderson, not Bradbury. The rest of the details are correct.

John Shea was at Paddy Reilly's. i was there to see Black 47 play; they were a fave of mine at the time.

And yes on the older woman. I have often had... appreciation for baby boomer women.

What a colorful life you've led, Kent!

1) I was once asked out by a half-Indonesian old enough to be my parent.

2) I was once asked out by a part-Indian/part-Swiss bartender.

3) I was once asked out by a half-Japanese who already had a significant other at the time.

Yes, I've told Blaze about all the above tongue

Well you told him all except one.

Was it this one you didn't tell him?

3) I was once asked out by a half-Japanese who already had a significant other at the time.

Oh, I'm changing my answer to:

2) I was once asked out by a part-Indian/part-Swiss bartender.

Picked the wrong answer by accident. Sorry Quis. wink

Hmmm... good point. I just won't answer to IB's questions where I'm sure of the answer.

Blaze indeed knew the answer to this when I told him about the question (honest tongue ), and in any case the correct answer was the last one remaining tongue

(the bartender who asked me out was part-GERMAN.)

Over to you, Blaze!

1) While touring the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat, I had to briskly walk to the nearest toilet, which was about 1KM, to poop. Other tourists suspiciously looked at me and I tried my best to pretend nothing's wrong.

2) My friends wondered where I'd been. They didn't have a clue.

3) I was so upset, I didn't pay the toilet fee.

Hmm, well Blaze guessed the answer based on what I've told him before, and I take the blame for encouraging him to post his guess. I didn't actually tell him which of the choices would be the lie.

To make it fair, and I'm sure Blaze would agree since he was concerned about it too, let's negate the question and give the next question to whomever posts next. How is that?

Well, it's been a week. Since I suggested invalidating the last Q&A, maybe I should just ask a new question since it was my turn anyway?

Okay smile

1) I had an omelette with tomatoes and olives the other day.

2) I had roast chicken with a honey-garlic-thyme-hot sauce mixture the other day.

3) I had marble potatoes with olive oil and Italian herbs the other day.

okay, then.

1. I have flown both Alaskan and Iberian airlines, but in neither case to/from the geographic regions for which they are named.

2. The only non-US or non-Canadian airline that I have flown on a flight within continental North America is Air St. Pierre.

3. I still hold a grudge against Delta because they once lost one of my bags, one that contained most of the climate-appropriate clothing I wanted to have handy at my destination.
